IS IT LEAKING? HEAVY MONSOON RAINS TESTING DIY CAMPER COVER & MY METHOD TO COMBAT AGE

  • Hey Everyone! Thanks for tuning in, the monsoons have FINALLY set in and it's actually cold this morning! Odd for a mid August start to the day but I'll take it over the heat we had earlier in the summer. Really pleased with the camper cover, I still need to finish the back portion which I'll get to in a few weeks. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy some relaxing downtime before I get started on my next project. Hope you all have a great week, thanks for tuning in! ~ Brian

My husband and I left our 5th wheel without cover in Apache Junction Arizona. We had a covered space reserved for the summer, just didn’t have our registration paperwork handy. I hope we come back to a totally fine rv! Although it’s been so hot and it’s baking in the sun all day 😳Preparing for a disaster hoping for the best! It’s time for an upgrade anyway! It’s 22 years old, in good shape for the age.

I can't get enough of the beautiful sceneries here, as well as only hearing the sounds of nature. A refreshing change from living in a large city, where I hear practically every type of noise you can think of.

You are not kidding about getting older. I have been dealing with sciatica since January and have been miserable. Just started soaking with Epsom salts again myself. I prefer a natural hot spring to a tub and salts, but I can't be picky. I just turned 70 (crap!), and am feeling it. I am glad I have a house during these times. As much as I love camping and traveling, I would hate to be living 50 or more miles from medical services during times like this.

@@rickallman1318 Especially in a hot spring! Problem is, there have only been a few hot springs I have found that were big enough to actually swim in. Two in Utah, Crystal Hot Springs, a commercial hot spring with a rich history, and Meadow Hot Springs, on private property, but owner allows as long as property is respected.

Agree 100% you on that coil. I'm an engineer in a chemical plant. The temperature gradient won't push the water fast enough to stop it from boiling. Once you steam in the system you'll get plugged flow just like when you get air in a fuel line. It can be quite dangerous.

Hi bud , just a quick observation but shouldn't the pump be on the lower inlet of the bath , isn't that perhaps why you are getting erratic heating as the pump forces heat downwards or are you purposefully pushing it lower to maximise the mix ? Cheers, and thanks for the interesting videos. Sean

Hi, Great build. I am wondering if I use the clear acrylic type waffle cover on the awning portion over the porch. Would it hold up in the monsoon winds? I want to do the same thing you have but also intend on setting up a water catchment system off the roof. I don't trust drinking water coming off a galvanized roof. I get the whole idea is to keep the sun off the trailer so would use the roofing paper you used. But I think it would be nice to have some extra light coming in to the porch. What do you think?
