I appreciate your simple and concise explanation! I am dealing with some pressure switches that are the 110acv that feed to the contactor that then operates a motor 220 single phase. And was trying to understand my wiring. Thanks again the only thing I am struggling with, is that they are robbing 1 leg of the the 220v to send a loop through the pressure switches,
Can i put a 120 water pump on this then go to the plug outlet i need to instal a float and want to go this route since its 120 can i jist take my hot on one neutral on one then my ground on the other would that be ok?
great video. how do you mount a contactor inside a box? if the box is against concrete, we cant screw it to the back wall of a box. is there a hardware that helps mount this inside a box?
Thank you. I have been scared to hook up these contractors for a Wi-Fi shutoff for the electric vehicle chargers but now I know how. I do maintenance for an office building I did electrical work for residential before this but never even laid eyes on a contactor. So the neutral goes to A1? I have exactly the same contactor you do from the video the black one.
I made a 220 volt stove burner incinerary toilet.Basically I poop in a toilet that falls into a insulated pot I add heat with a stove top burner below it for an hour.I want to install a 60 minute timer that I hooked 120 to the coil and it buzzes. With a cord it clicked but when i put a timer in the mix the contactor buzzes. Why is that. I timer switched the black 115volt AC hot wire. Should I be switching the neutral wire?
No. Think about this you could use a 15 amp to run the contactor and then you can add up to three different circuits on your L1 L2 and L3. Think of it as an electronic switch it uses the first source of power to close the circuit for other sources. Hope that helps.
Thanx a mill, it’s ever more clear to me .! ❤

Absolutely great video...thanks for sharing. Knowledge applied is powerful.

Good job on the video 🎉

Perfect thanks 👍🏽
After how many lights in residential is good to install a contactor ? And there is a 120v contactor for residential?
Ty for this. It helped a lot.

dont you have to run a jumper from A1 to L1 for L1 to have power?

Yes. That’s how it’s usually wired up from the factory on air compressors.
Totally depends on what application it’s being used for
Thank you!
Excellent thanks
great!
