This is just the classic slash alien horror movie lmao, Prometheus was great, plot holes but them trying to explain the whole lore and the engineers a Etc was amazing and I wished they went more into it… the movie was rated solid for a reason then they were going to go deeper into the lore but they completely filmed the script for the second film because of fans wanting just slash and blood smh , Prometheus was building to a great trilogy etc

This might be quite thin on plot or story and that'd be a shame, but in terms of scares I feel like this film is going to be leagues ahead of the last two just based on the kind of atmosphere and mood the trailer is going for (of course, it could all fall apart in context). Tldr: less about it being a typical slasher and more about how the horror and tension appears to be stronger than the others
"Run", i dont know why but the way David delivers that line is just so addicting, his facial expression, his hesitation, its literally just delivered so perfectly along with his physical acting like he just heard or witnessed the most disturbing or horrifying thing and doesn't know how to react or process cause he's in shock
Didn't really pay attention to the first trailer when it dropped but with all of the little touchstones sprinkled in the trailer this feels like the Star Wars: The Force Awakens of the Alien franchise, and I'm not really mad at it
Claroo/Nerdy react to The Menu, Happy Death Day, Renfield, Zombeavers, Planet Terror, Jennifer's Body, Zombieland, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, Abigail. These are more like horror comedies and easier to deal with than straight up horror. They might be a little bit intentionally terrible but they are all the better for it.
aaaahh interesting. i HEAR it does indeed have to do with the prequels. i really hope it does. i think Alien Covenant Is the most Innovative Alien movie to date ..an incredible achievement
I watched every episode of Terra Nova. It ran for one season in 2011. Apparently Fox tried to sell it to anyone and Netflix after the first season but no one picked it up. What a shame.
I just hope it's not another idiot plot like the last two. The characters don't need to be hyper-competent, just make them more than just slasher-movie-fodder. Intelligent characters that make the best choices they can with what they know and what they have, that makes horror films and Alien movies in particular so much more engaging. If all the characters are just barely sapient morons with room temperature IQ's, it doesn't really matter how good the rest of the film was done.
These trailers gave me more hope than either of the past teo Alien movies did. I really appreciate the atmosphere they're building
