After hearing countless rave reviews about 7-Select products, we brought in a variety of their offerings from ice cream to cheeseburgers and pit them against the biggest food brands around to see who does it better!
With many of their snack options sitting directly beside the name brand versions on store shelves, eating these products back-to-back offered some valuable insight into whether companies like Hostess or Cheetos are worth the higher price tag when visiting the beloved convenience store!

Q: How do you not gain weight?
A: Endurance sports (primarily running, cycling and some resistance training) and extreme discipline & sacrifice with our daily diets is how we manage not to gain weight. We eat mostly vegetables, fruits, some whole grains and low fat dairy on the days outside these videos. The calories consumed in a food challenge or mukbang are the only calories consumed that day and sometimes the day following as well seeing our appetites are typically shot from so much food and the thought of eating is very off-putting. Two days out we are back to large amounts of vegetables and increase to maintenance from there. We also often eat most of our days calories in a smaller eating window (we frequently bounce between intermittent fasting & OMAD diet as it just seems to work with our lifestyles and eating preferences). Anyone with a larger than normal stomach capacity like us, the drive to push through the discomfort of a challenge like this, and a basic understanding of energy balance (calories in vs calories out) can do it with enough disciple and intention (not that we recommend it).
Also worth mentioning is that we do not exercise to burn the calories consumed in a video but rather we are able to consume higher calorie diets due to our participation in endurance activities and said discipline with our daily diets.

A: While we’re sure that type of video will eventually make its way out there, this is not a health and fitness channel and we intend to primarily focus on indulgent food entertainment. We’re still in the very early stages of establishing ourselves within this genre and we’re constantly experimenting and trying to improve upon our style to make our channel a unique experience. Food is our passion while fitness is our discipline so, while we currently only have the availability to produce one quality piece of content a week, fun food-centered videos is where we’ll be focusing our attention (and trust us, it’s more fun for all of us this way). That’s not to say it will never happen, but it’s not a top priority for us.

Even before I start to watch the video, I wanna say something and I rarely do this, especially on RUclips. I first found your channel yesterday and have been binge watching so many of your vids. And I have to say, Pete and Nate you have to be some of the most genuine, wholesome, and polite people I have ever met and I've only watched your RUclips vids, but that speaks volumes if I'm able to say that through just watching your vids. Yet, others who watch you would 100% agree with that statement. You seem to be having so much fun doing it too and that goes a long way...I don't want to make this a super long comment, but I just want to say, thank you. I love the way you guys actually talk about what you think and give insight. You guys do challenges that provide actual entertainment besides just quiet eating which is the best! I've said it so many times before but I am so shocked as to how this channel does not have an insanely high subscriber count... it literally takes all the good parts of other channels and combines them into one top tier channel that is the takedown twins. We do find it funny that people call these videos “challenges” though because they are very much not that, lol. Just a fun eating video with an entirely different objective than challenging ourselves 🙂 We understand some people may not be familiar with other genres of eating entertainment away from food challenges but we currently try to offer a broader range of videos which is what makes hearing that you’re enjoying the variety even better!

If I may add a suggestion, I think it would nice to easily see and track how you two vote by showing the box half highlighted by how you sit. For the example, if you vote the same the entire box would be highlighted. If you disagree, then half (either left or right) would be highlighted on each one. Thought I just had!

Great side by side review. Alas, 7 Eleven is kind of rare in my area. Our nicest resident quick stops are Caseys stores, which also stock their own versions of just about every snack you can think of. And they are typically pretty good.

The difference between the cookie doughs is pilsbury is made to be baked. It just uses heat treated flour and pasturized eggs while the 7 select is meant to be eaten as cookie dough and doesn't have eggs making it less dense.
The slurpee vs icee would've been an iconic battle. Nice video. Also do you guys have a wawas near you? People always saying it blows 711 out of the water
No Wawas in RI, no. Slurped/icee would be fun in theory, but unlike ice cream that you can just keep in a freezer, that would be either entirely liquified or entirely solid block of ice by the time we’re ready to roll cameras considering we don’t have a machine to keep it churning for hours 😅

I'm embarrassed to admit I don't think I've ever been in a 7Eleven. I had to Google what 7 Select was. Maybe if it was at a gas station, I've been in one, but otherwise I'm not sure when I would have. I'm definitely going to look out for one next time I'm on my travels, though. 7-11 has really yummy hot foods- especially the big bite hotdogs.

We might seem like nice and tolerant people, but certainly not enough to be school teachers 😅 those are true heros lol.
We’ve worked in multi-media (primarily video editing) for about 6 years. Very different type of work than what we do on RUclips though with the whole static tripod shots and one take uncut footage thing. It’s a bit of a goofy editing style we’ve decided on for RUclips, but it fits the content we feel lol.

Because we used to just pronounce it the way we were born and raised pronouncing it and now we do that to somewhat mock all the know it alls that felt the need to tell us we pronounce it wrong and the way they were raised to say it is correct and we need to be saying it “the right way” lol
