  • Eddy Merckx, undeniably the greatest cyclist of all time, has seen his brand of bicycles reborn under the Belgian Cycling Factory banner. It reaches back to Eddy's amazing career for inspiration, yet features cutting edge technology and clean, refined aesthetics. We learn about two of the newest bikes, the Strasbourg71 and the Lavaredo68.

Fantastic to see this brand still alive and in Belgium. Well done with the branding and custom colours.

Why are these "better" than the previous versions?🤔

Wow, I'm the first to comment! I was a fan of Eddy's, back when he was racing. We in Australia had to buy little booklets on each year's TdF to learn all the ins and outs of those long tours. As for your new Eddy Merckx bikes, they look worthy of his name, though I wonder whether he would have been keen on the wider tyred one. My current bike has an Australian-made frame & forks, all carbon fibre. You can see it here but you have to click on the tiny thumbnail: www.strava.com/activities/1883036548 No doubt you will notice that the rims are the same brand (though probably a lower level rim on mine).

No sound coming through but that's okay because The Cannibal will always be attacking off the front.

Then you don't watch cycling, Armstrong hardly makes the top 10, while Eddy Merckx is lightyears ahead of the number 2. Anyone who follows cycling closely will tell you this. Armstrong dominated in the Tour for a few years while Merckx dominated not only during the Tour but throughout the whole year. I don't know where so many people got this idea but a cycling season consists of a lot more than the Tour de France.
