ArchBishop Vigano is absolutely correct!!! We as Catholics should be committed to the Doctrine & Dogma of the Faith of the Catholics prior to Vatican II. All of our rites were erased & replaced. My great uncle was a priest & he was extremely upset following it. I remember as a child how upset he was! He was also made to retire in his Diocese as were many other priests.

I grew up in the pre-Vatican II era, and I prefer to stay in those days; when Vatican II came along there was nothing but confusion, which tells me Vatican II was wrong, making Bishop Barron wrong, along with all the others who push V-II as absolute truth.

I have started attending Mass everyday. In the beginning of Covid-19 I viewed Mass online because our church was closed. Then Mass was only on Sundays in our gym. I was hesitant to attend Mass but the Eucharist was brought outside to those of us who were fearful and that was wonderful. I guess in my thoughts to God I made a promise that if our vacation in Florida was a success (especially for me) I would start attending daily Mass. I must say though that there is something different, something is missing. Maybe it's an irreverence but everyone who is there because they do love the Lord.
I can say one thing that causes me grief. We all know the prayers and our responses in the Mass. People are reciting them; not praying them. I can never keep up.
You pray the same way - fast like a speeding bullet.
I wish people would just slow down when they pray.

As a former Muslim turned Protestant then Orthodox and now Catholic.. I am heavily scandalised by the church of 'today'.
Where is beauty? Where is spirituality? Where is piety and holiness? Where is honour and respect for God? Where is sanctity in humankind? Where is reverence in worship? Where is awe of creation?
These were all my questions and never got answered.. just kept being told to shut up.. I'm tired of being quiet and being judged and rebuked by priests simply for kneeling for our Lord... or in our times simply for asking to receive on the tongue..

I'm quite surprised how many of you guys are here. Vatican II was indeed the breath of fresh air we needed in Africa. It helped evangelise so many in my country Nigeria. Latin is Beautiful, but so are the different indigenous languages in my country. With the New rites and catechises is easier for concerts to understand the substance of what we do in my opinion. What I will say is that, the Trendantine mass and some of the older rites should still be practiced on special occasions so that the church does not forget. In Nigeria we only know the Nouveau Ordo and the post Vatican II rites. It does not make us less reverent, less orthodox or less Catholic. Talk to any of our bishops, including Cardinal Arinze about discipline of the sacraments. In most dioceses here women must cover their hair and wear only women's clothing (no trousers) The problem you have with John Paul, Benedict and Francis is an American problem. (Western Problem)
You guys should take time to watch mass in Nigeria, Ghana or other English speaking country so you can witness our expression of our shared faith. LUMEN CRISTY 7.35am GMT on Sundays. Mass from the Holy Cross Cathedral Lagos is covered live. The Arch Bishop is usually officiating.

Vatican II in terms of Hermeneutics:
    1. All councils further specified what was taught more generically before.
    2. Vatican II is the first council that reversed this. It removed what was more specific and in general taught what was more generic. The reason for this was to be more "ecumenical" and less "divisive" (according to their thought). Because what is more specific in Catholicism is precisely what "divides"according to them.
    3. Up to here, I do not think that anyone would disagree
    4. All past councils could be used as a lens through which to look back and interpret earlier councils as what is more specific sheds light on what is more generic when the object of thought is the same thing.
    5. What is actively more specific contains actively what is more generic.
    6. What is more generic however does not contain what is more specific actively, but only potentially.
    7. Therefore using Vatican II being a council that in general taught Catholic Doctrine more Generically to interpret previous Councils which were more specific has the effect of shaving off, removing and excluding as irelevent all those more specific truths which make Catholicism unique and different to all other "religions".
The natural way we think and progress in knowledge, whether it be as human beings, in science or in theology is always from what is more generic to what is more specific. Vatican II as far as this is concerned turned this around and is therefore unnatural.

Justin Olesen according to the email my parish sent out last Friday, after the Northern Deanery priests meeting it is true. Evidently, because some people have complained about others receiving on the tongue, there is a new rule. There is fear that Qld health will ask for these parishes/masses to be closed, he has said no communion on the tongue any longer. I would really like this not to be true. If you have any information that counters the parish letter I received I would be very grateful. Thanks

In the past Roman Catholics faced heresies expedited from very exalted Greek Emperors, such as the
heresy of monothelitism. Saint Maximus Confessors did not mingle and join with the monothelitists. St. Maximus Confessor was requested to communine with monotheletists, and he refused. SMC said, “you can commune with monothelitism, a heresy, I will never do that.” St. Martin of Tours did commune with sinful clergy, and he spent his last years repenting about his communion. In eternity, shunning heresies and heretics is not evil. It is called virtue.

Today I must sadly admit that I was wrong. The fresh wind did become a desertstorm destroying traditions and values of the holy church of our fathers. Deconstruction has been irreparably damaging the holy mother church and made people leaving in millions.

Unfortunately, deceptive people have misled through media and state sponsored schooling and hidden the truth of our Lord sovereignty.

@@francismlelwa5766 I whole heartedly agree. But the secularists would say the same thing. What separates them from us is how we define and identify what the truth actually is. Establishing the Truth (a necessity for following it) is a discipline of soul and mind. Following the truth is an attitude of being, not merely a habit of conformity/action. When Catholic media does not dispose Catholics to that attitude of being which alone makes saints, it disposes them instead only to a habit of conformity. That is synthetic Catholicism. And that is what the devil wants. He wants the faithful to believe they are on the road to sainthood because it keeps them distracted by keeping them busy on only half the work. It keeps them as spectators in the spiritual war rather than threats to the devil's kingdom. It leverages their zeal but not their being. Zeal is no threat to satan. The prayers of the impious or the lukewarm or the proud are no threat to satan. Only the holy are threats to satan, and holiness involves much more than mere conformity to doctrine and tradition. Doctrine and tradition are indispensable components but without humility and a true "obsession" with following the whole gospel, they alone will not save anyone....not the person, not others, not the Church, not the world.

Bishop Barron is falling into the Overton Window paradigm without even realizing it (giving his Excellency the benefit of the doubt). We will continue to see more of this - the "RadTrads" will become more and more "radical" as the window moves along the political spectrum, and those ideas - the ideas of V2 and modernism - which were unthinkable 100 years ago seem more mainstream. Traditional voices have to be loud and visible to move the Window back. so Modernism becomes unthinkable once again.

The traditional Catholics (real) need to better define the true dogma of the faith. It is true that revelation is no longer necessary. What is now needed is more clear and detailed explanations of the Revelations.
I believe at this time, it will become necessary to get into the cosmological and metaphysical underpinning of Revelation.
We are Catholics. We know and understand the reasons our faith is true, or at least we used to. Stop acting like Protestants. We do not believe faith alone. Faith fortified with knowledge and understanding. That's Catholicism.
We live in a time where media and state institutions propagate false understanding of the nature of reality and we sit quietly and do not push back. We need to tackle the big questions with the sword of Truth given to us when the Lord manifest his spirit and gave us greater capacity to reason.
Darwinism is a failed theory. It doesn't account for irreducible complexity, violations of laws such as entropy, ect. Reductionist materialist models of physic are not capable of predicting correctly interactions at the quantum scale. Materialism is incorrect as every particle breaks down into smaller particles and empty space. No God particle.
Catholic worldview has been at the heart of the failing of the Church. Unless our axiomatic assumptions of what reality is conforms to Truth, we are doomed to loose faith and fail the faithful.
The vague ambiguity of the present church is why the church is dying. Embrace truth, knowing it's the dominion of the one true Master we call our Lord and Savior.

He has a big smile now to see that TLM is back, FINALLY.

Placing the Mass of All Time next to the Novus Ordo Missae and saying they are "equal " is part of the false ecumenism of Vatican II because the Novus Ordo Missae is just a protestant service. The two are not "equal" in any sense. They are totally different. The TLM is God centered while the Novus Ordo Missae is man centered. Lex Orandi, lex credendi. They cannot exist side by side in the same Church.

Yes I agree that some distorted and destroyed the faith but what about the millions of faithful Catholic priests and Bishops and faithful scholars guided by truth and the light of the Holy Spirit and amazing grace who hand the faith on in its fullness?

Thank God for Archbishop Vigano- he has clearly been raised up by God for these crazy times of modernists nonsense🙏
I was talking to a woman in her 80’s who is a retired teacher & she said a Priest at a parents meeting stated that he didn’t want to hear anything Pre Vatican 11!
She asked him “are we to forget about the 10 Commandments!” The people in the room clapped!
