Kyle has developed this insane forehand topspin drop shot that not only has action in the air; it's gotta have some kick off of the surface as well. Definitely a well practiced elite technique.
That is the non-volley zone, which means the ball can't be hit out of the air while standing in that part of the court. You can only hit the ball while standing in that area after the ball bounces first. -Ambassador Webby
@@JesseMartineau You can be in the non-volley zone WHENEVER you want. The rule is that: 1: you may not volley the ball when you are touching the "kitchen" or 2. touch it due to momentum from a volley or 3. do not have both feet reestablished outside of the kitchen after entering it before hitting a volley. It is a common misconception that you can only step into the kitchen "after the ball bounces". It's just the wording of that phrase which throws people off.
Great match as always, and nice announcing. But you seem to pump up Kyle Yates as this great person, but I've seen dozens of matches with him, and out of all the players, he is the worst sport. I've seen him actually cheat at a point. And he was/is notorious at stepping in the NVZ on an Erne and not saying anything, even when obvious. And call him on it, he always gets 'very' upset. Or call a shot against him during a tight game, again, he gets very upset and agressive. JMO. :)
Commentators sound like a bunch of girls. "OH MY GOD!". PICKLEBALL WILL NEVER BECOME A SPECTATOR SPORT WITH THIS COMMENTARY. Please for the love of pickleball. But yes, great points.😁
Fantastic rally (one of many) at 26:45, with a run of 11 shots in 6 seconds in it, as well as several great saves. GREAT match!
The announcers sound like the girls on SNL talking about Alec Baldwins "sweaty balls"
Pickleball is my favorite sport because as long as I see the first serve, I can always tell which way is north
*Riley hits around the post*
Announcers- That was decent
*Kyle hits a deep second shot*
Announcers- WOW!! Did you see that?!?
Announcing is terrible. Play is outstanding
Ben is the best in the world, yes! All of you inspire
Wondering what countries participate in this tournament?

Tyler's backhand Ernie was a foot fault at 22:04 was a FF. Left foot didn't get out before contact. Easy call.
Yep I saw it as well. Unfortunately if you aren't looking at the feet there's no way you're going to see it
Another FF 27:15... If pros can get away with it like this I better start using Erne's all the time because no one can see it
all are class acts during interviews
Very annoying when announcers feel like they have to be talking all the time and say stupid stuff... or try to hard to share what they know!
Great game but Horrible camera angle
Thanks for the feedback. Sometimes our options for camera placement is very limited. What is your favorite camera angle for pickleball matches? -Webby
are you not allowed to stand in the teal color?

EddieAndWebby ahhh I see , makes sense. Otherwise you would just smash it everytime
Thanks for the explanation
Commentators saying the same things every other minute haha.
at what height is the main camera?
The main camera was pretty high up, between 9 to 12 ft. It had to go over the fence behind the baseline.

@@EddieAndWebby What kind of camera?
Sony ax700

Looks fun!!
He starts slow, I think. Yikes!
Was he in the kitchen on that last point?
Jesse Martineau yes but it bounced so perfectly legal
@@t10saunders watch it again, looks like he stepped in before the bounce
@@t10saunders pause it at 31:04 his foot is inside before that ball comes down. Is there something I'm missing?

@@FriskyBearGaming thanks for answering! I ironically found that rule out yesterday, and it's awesome!

Giant ping pong. What a waste for these guys to be playing giant ping pong. How many grandkids do they have. LMFAO
What joke of sport. Lol
Kyle is making too many unforced errors.
Anyone who calls Table Tennis "Ping Pong" obviously loses any credibility in their perspective about any racquet sport!!
