Awesome channel man! I fish the Huron a lot too, lately the smallies have been on fire! I fish out in Ann Arbor sections mostly. I’ll definitely be subscribing, Lee up the awesome vids man!
I love lakeside, use to go there w my dad and grandpa before going out to the lake! For such a great smallmouth fishery, I've caught nothing but largemouth from shore this summer, lol. Won't hear me complain, though! After the bassmaster open at harley ensign launch, I've had really good luck out there!
If you go lighter weight and use the skinny drop shot weights meant for grass you won’t get hung up, especially if you try to keep your rod tip high & bounce the weight off the rocks. I typically keep the bait about 6-8” above the weight.
@@moremut I am not the best popper fisherman… but I do love topwater. The water in that part of the river was maybe 4ft max depth. Surprisingly they were hitting topwater around 4pm which to me is unusual, but I saw bait busting on the surface which is a good indicator that they’ll come up. I typically do better with topwater in the early morning or on overcast days.
I know that tackle shop you were at on Jefferson (I work at the Ford dealership on 9 mile and Mack), but what river was that? You had a pretty good day with the smallies!
who needs a boat when you can have his much fun catching small mouth bass.

Smallies are so much fun to catch, great video.
Thank you! Smallmouth are my favorite freshwater fish. They’re so aggressive and strong for their size.

Beast channel bro. You gonna come out to the d river for walleye soon ?
@@Marashm Thank you! I am pretty bad at walleye fishing but I’ll try!
Hey Dink believe it or not I never caught a fish on a Drop shot because i fish by a lot of rocks and I’m not for sure about the depth or wait, etc.

@@danspanos Nice! Thanks for watching man! It’s the Huron River.
I’ve never fished with a ultra light. It might change the bad luck I got going on. 🦨💨🎣
@@darrenpersicke5266 it’s great for finesse techniques and really fun when you hook one! Everything feels giant on the light setup 😂
@@dinkdangler I’ve been catching nothing so anything would feel like a GIANT on the end of my line. 😂
