    This video was published on Feb. 18 , 2009 today is currently Mar. 6 , 2018 , For the past few years Illinois has been BANKRUPT . Perhaps Ethanol research didn't save the State of Illinois after all ? !

    So, you can get the first harvest three seasons after planting the rhizomes. (I've also heard two seasons) At that point, are the plants established and left in the ground to be harvested every season without further tilling?
    This appears to be an incredibly promising plant. I hope we're talking to the Europeans who have been using it commercially for a while already.
    I'm planting some in my yard just to check it out. And screen some neighbors. ;-)

    Wishing you all the best. If through cellulosic ethanol process dried leaves, grass and wood can be made into ethanol burning of biomass will be eliminated.

    In Asia people boiled in water and drink substitute sugar because it is very hard plant

      use all yard &tree waste after storms roll through around a good size city get the public workers to deliver it

      What part of upstate New York? I have it in my garden. It’s evasive and grows a foot in diameter a year. If you’re in Saratoga area you can have some next spring when I divide it.

    @djbynite deer wouldnt be eating either of those if humans didnt grow them, its just another plant that isnt toxic, wildlife will actally prosper since nearly every part of the plant feeds a different animal

      No, it is a hybrid of two grasses but not gmo
