It's Am-Bro-Za...three syllables and a soft Z sound. And you're right, the song writing, musicianship, instrumentation, vocal skills and production that were so much a part of the music of the 70s and 80s are lost arts now. It's sad that they don't make music like this anymore and even sadder to know that if they did that it wouldn't get played by the radio stations. But I'm so glad that it exists so that those of us that were around back then can still enjoy it - and so younger generations get to experience the joy of discovering it for the first time.

David Pack’s voice is just beautiful and he is an amazing song writer. I am so blessed to have grown up on music like this from the 70’s and 80’s. Took it for granted that music like this would always be produced but sadly they don’t write music like this anymore. I absolutely loved this band after Queen. I still love getting lost in the memories this music brings back. Thanks for sharing.

    Facts: Ambrosia are magical.
Pack and Puerta [David Pack and Joe Puerta] are, both, spectacular, lead vocalists and all 4 of the core members had great voices (a reason why their harmonies sound so killer!)
...also: Burleigh Drummond (their drummer) is one of the more (unfairly! Ignorantly!) underrated players, ever.
This album is, actually, the precursor to their hugest one: One-Eighty (or 180)
...off of which you did one of the major hits: "Biggest Part Of Me".
It's their first recording for a new label and their beginning to move away from their progressive rock roots.
MOST people only know 2 or 3 songs by Ambrosia (if they recall them, at all!):
The 3 big hits for this band were: This song, here ("How Much I Feel")
and 2 singles from the One-Eighty album: "Biggest Part Of Me" (which you, already, listened to) and "You're The Only Woman"
[All 3 written by: Joe Pack]
...but I think you will find their "non-extra-smooth, "non-"baby-making music" stuff AS interesting. It is equally as cool, in its own right and to many people: even better.)
Please check out (from their debut album): "Nice, Nice, Very Nice"
(with lyrics taken from and based-on Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.'s novel: Cat's Cradle
    - He gets a writing credit on the song, for the use of his words,
...Interestingly enough, Vonnegut has inspired a lot of music. Another (more famous) tune, also based on Cat's Cradle, is Joe Satriani's instrumental: "Ice-9"
from the classic: Surfing With The Alien [Yes. A Sliver Surfer reference. Absolutely. 😉💙💙💙 🔥🔥🤘🤘])
    and
    "Holding On To Yesterday"
-Intriguingly enough, the FOLLOW-up album to One-Eighty was "another 180": A "thematic" (arguably "concept") album, entitled: Road Island ...which was a rock record and, nearly a hard rock record! (But "too late" or "at the wrong time"...)
PLEASE listen to the largely unfamiliar, yet superb, opening cut from that:
    "For Openers (Welcome Home)"
[Most fans who only know the 3 hits, or know the 2, first, "progressive" albums, are SHOCKED when they hear it
...But it is KILLER!!!!! 🤘🤘🔥 - Seriously!!: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥]
...you're, also, gong to want to listen to the last huge hit number rim the Ambrosia catalog:
"You're The Only Woman (You & I)" [Often has the "subtitle"/parenthetical left off]
...If you love the 2 you've heard, you will love that one, too.
[Also: f.y.i.: The general, common pronunciation of the word that is the band's name is: "am-bro-zzzuh" (with the "i" "slid over" and/or -basically- un-pronounced or un-accented. 👍👍. .... 🤷‍♂️).]
...due to the band's hit records, they are, often, compared with/classed with other "soft rock stalwarts" from the '70s, such as: Bread (who, do have some similarities, in the pop-arena stuff, with Ambrosia. Bread were, also, very talented songwriters and singers. 👍👍👍👍🔥
...but, often relegated to "chick band" status (which was a pretty big -and unfair!- insult, back in the day. 😋).)
and, maybe: Pablo Cruise [NOT "a guy!" A band!] (who, really are more of a "Michael McDonald-era Doobies-light" ...but had some, smooth, groovy hits, as well
[Go listen to: "Love Will Find A Way" [HUGE hit!]
    and
"What'cha Gonna Do" (slightly less "big," but: smooth and funky! 🤘🤘)
...BREAD has too many hits to start naming. ...Just go look them up and pick something from the most-listened-to cuts. 👍👍👊🤘]
but, while the hits are somewhere in the same realm, Ambrosia, actually, has a LOT more latitude than those bands I, just, mentioned. (But all of the songs mentioned are very good! 🧡🧡😁)!

Music can change your attitude. Music from the 1980's back put you in a positive mood and people were generally happier and got along better than today. Music can bring us together when the message is positive and divide us when the message is negative. A return to the music of the past can help us to love each other and help heal us as humans.

My dad is one of 10 kids! I told my grandparents when I was a pre-teen to get a new hobby! I get it now as an adult, but they were having babies from the late 40’s to the late 60’s! My poor gramma being pregnant almost once a year for 20 years! ( She lost a few in between Kids as well).

I repeat, you need to listen to "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye. Trust me if you want to hear a song that does the talking for you.

I prefer their earlier music but this is a cool song. Their production was always first class. You must hear ‘Holding On To Yesterday’
