    Question 1: No, the trunk would only form if switch 1 or switch 2 have the administrative mode set to dynamic desirable with one set to dynamic auto. Both sides are set to Dynamic Auto so nether side with start the negotiation.
    Question 2: Yes, negotiating trunking will begin once the interfaces are shut and no shut.
    Question 3: No DTP will not be used, S2 is manually configured as a trunk, where as S1 is configured to Dynamic Desirable so a trunk will still be formed.
    Question 4: A Trunk will be formed
    Question 5: No Trunk will be formed.

    Hello David, excellent video, I was wondering if this is the type of coverage you and Brian will provide for each topic on the CCNA course you both were talking about 50 seat limit. My concern is that I am located in Tokyo, Japan, therefore, I am afraid I will be basically be dealing with just recordings due to the timezone difference. I know that when in the UK 8:00 AM Tokyo is ahead and already 4:00 PM, in the meantime, Its been a blessing to watch your content and simulate the type of labs you are creating using GNS3 and Packet Tracer, our current company is not a Cisco shop, DELL/Juniper and VyOS (Debian Based Network Firewall/Router) instead and that is another concern... Anyway, I know it will be a super valuable course as I have been testing BOSON products which seems super good and provide great labs as well as simulation exams. Hope to hear your best recommendation for this, catch you later.

      Hi Jair, thank you! Calls will typically be UK evening time - Brian may vary it depending on what works best, but as a reference I would use 8:00pm UK time as a start until 11:00pm or midnight. We will be recording sessions and you will have access to the Slack group which allows for asynchronous communication. We will see how things go as it may be better for Brian to run some sessions at other times of the day if that is better for most students. As this is our first mentorship program, we will adjust based on the feedback we receive. We are including Boson as the products are great - I see a lot of good feedback on reddit for example. Our course is focused on CCNA - so will focus on Cisco products.

    @davidbombal - hello, are you using l2 IOU image for DTP lab? The reason for asking, I use IOU L2 image and I do not see commands like "switchport nonegotiate" to be working.. How can I disable DTP in GNS3 lab environment.??

    your videos always remind me of things, and reminding me not to forget what I've learnt, thank you for that. but I've asked you on twitter about SDN, which I know that you are great in as well, please do you have any way to get into SDN apps development using python???

    • @davidbombal
      @davidbombal  5 лет назад +1

      I suggest you look at the Cisco DevNet site for lots of developer focused content: developer.cisco.com - the issue is - which type of SDN are you referring to? I am not doing any courses on OpenFlow type SDN anymore.

      @@davidbombal thank you so much, but are there any other types of SDN other than openflow? and why did you stop doing these courses?
