This is a difficult question and a lot of people asked me a lot of questions about it. What happens to the frame?
I demo this in both Cisco Packet Tracer and GNS3.

I was so sure that I knew the answer, and then you said HDLC and I realized I work with Ethernet so frequently I didn't even consider the serial link that was there. What a great quiz-like question!

This is an easy question of CCENT level. Reply is always something that goes back in English. You even specify interfaces. So it is obvious that we are talking about router right to left. I am surprised that this is a topic of book CCENT part 1 chapter 3. The tricky part is people simply remember and not learn, investigate protocols itself and their frame. Thanks for video!

So when packet tracer skiped that step at 9:23 the router R2 should send a broadcast in the network 10,1,3,0/24, with the destination ip add of PC2 10,1,3,1 and mac address of FFFF.FFFF.FFFF ?

Thanks a lot for the explanation. I have a question about ICMP packet between Routers 8:08 . Should not router 1 change destination to R2's IP and source IP to his own IP??? Or it happens in ARP packet???

Listen again, between routers is a point to point link. There is only A to B or B to A direction, so there is no need to pass Layer 3 information.
