Thank you for sharing! I am trying a new thing this year where for each month I have list going of things I want to do in that month instead of trying to schedule it on certain days. For example apple picking, beach discover walks, basket making, a thankful tree, carving pumpkins, studying bats... I just cross them off as we are able to fit them into our schedule. Hoping it will help not forget the seasonal things I wanted to do and also stress less. Feeling like we needed to catch up or do more that day then we should because it was on the schedule was one thing I didn't like last year and really wanted to change for this year.

I love that you're using just a spiral notebook... easy for me to relate. I get caught up in typing pretty lists to start with and never finishing. So embarrassing and frustrating. Thank you for this video.

So glad you enjoyed the video! I can totally relate - I’m the worst at starting and never finishing things! 🫣😅 Gotta make it simple!

I just started homeschool this month (August), i live in NYC and this is the strictest state when it comes to subjects. They require 900 hours/990 or 180 days. I have a 2nd grader and a 6th grader. Ive been feeling overwhelmed.

I feel you! Our state requires 1000 hours or 180, so very similar. But I believe you do have more regulations than we do. I know Christina from @RootedHomeLife is homeschooling in New York. Maybe she’s got some tips for you! Here’s one she did about homeschooling in New York! ruclips.net/video/B-_wNlXis7o/видео.htmlsi=8V-F0bEYj-zIB2oA Blessings!

Interesting video. Why do you do home schooling?

I do feel bogged down by the traditional school subjects. I feel like math and LA are keeping us from doing the things we actually want to do.
I‘ll try your idea to reserve time for what makes us happy first. We cannot live a happy life if all we do is fulfill our obligations.
