See, this is why I remain subscribed to this channel. I don't like or can't understand 75% of your content on a daily basis, then a gem likes this appears. Makes it worth the wait. One question though: Do you really feel the need to explain MP skits to people? If they don't get it, well....

The first time I saw Mr. Creosote I pissed myself with laughter. I found myself offering people a "wafer thin mint" for years afterward. Most of the people to whom I said this had no idea what I was talking about, which made me laugh even more. They thought I was an idiot. Hard to argue with that.
I saw the US premiere of MPFC. I was 10 yrs old and babysitting for a neighbor who had an emergency. I also saw the premiere of a show before it called Saturday Night Live. To this day,I love my Python and quote it regularly. My daughter had to do a comedy skit at school when they were studying comedy. Dead Parrot was her choice. My other daughter and a friend did Who's on First. For any Python fans who haven't seen it...look up the history of the joke. PRICELESS, though the footage isn't the best quality.
I was thinking that, too. True MPFC fans know the REALLY good ones that the general population might not know.... eg: "Number One: The Larch. The Larch." or "Confuse-a-Cat". Or "Harold the flying sheep". I could go on and on.
30 is hardly enough. Philosophers Football. Olympic Hide & Seek. Deja Vu. The Gumbys. How Not To Be Seen. Anne Elk's Brontosaurus Theory. And Python, while beginning as sketches, evolved to become much more, as many of the later original episodes were sketches contained within a theme. The Anne Elk sketch was near the end of an episode where for some mysterious reason everyone on the phone needed to check their shoe size. Then there was the episode with the initial announcement about The Queen About To Tune In. The Bicycle Tour. Dennis Moore. The Golden Age Of Ballooning. Michael Ellis. It was the success of these episodes with a theme that made them most famous: the first movie was just a concatenation of the best sketches, but the next three were sketches within a theme, with the ultimate development being the invasion of The Meaning Of Life, mid-movie, by its own short preview feature! Who else would ever have thought up anything like this?
What's that on the Telly? Looks like a penguin. Where did it come from? Burma. Then there us Albatross, The Philosopher's Drinking Song, and oh so many others. Python is forever. And to think, they had to steal their tapes from the BBC before they were recycled or trashed.
To get this comedy, you need to have to understand the premise... it's all ridiculous satire. Very British....I know way too many lines, like all the other fans in this comments section.
@@None-v9z I absolutely loved Blackadder.... especially when Robbie Coltrane was in it....I am not a humourless "bore"....Monty Python didn't float my boat at all. Just one of those things. I'm not " that type" at all! Carry on laughing!
@julianaylor4351 There's none more aware of sarcasm and satire than me. However, it could be that my brother -,in-law found it funny....the most crashing bore and letch on earth?
I was saddened to see that the Fish-Slapping Dance failed to make the cut
I thought it would have been there too. Like it more than "the knights who say ni"

What the heck? First you say you can't understand 75% of UK content, then you complain when we Brits DO explain things!

"BE QUIET!"
Example of British humor we in the cheeky former colonies love? Monty Python! A fan since 1975.

Fish slapping dance. 😂😂
An excellent selection. Ground breaking and wonderful.
The stoning sketch when I saw it in a theater made me laugh the hardest ever in my life. And that is still true 45 years later.

I loved this, but missed the Fish Slap dance 😂😂😂
The Life Of Brian , is " WITHOUT DOUBT " the best comedy movie ever made , I laughed so hard , I wet myself ( & I'm not ashamed to say it ?? )
Ethel the Frog (aka The Pirannah Brothers) is my favorite.
Dinsdale!
21:40 - That camera zoom 🤭🤭
The Galaxy Song from The Meaning of Life deserves an honorable mention!
"We used to dream of a hole in the ground!"
Not even close.
Clearly picked by people who have barely watched the shows, but are aware of the more famous sketches.

30 ?
My brain goes to another dimension after 2 !
Nobody expected that to be number 6
Thank goodness for John Cleese and his comedy company gang!!!📺🎥😺😹😼🙀
Missing several masterpieces including two of my personal favorites “My brain hurts!” and “gooooooddddniiiiiiiggggghhhhttttt ring ding ding ding”
I am s huge fan of Monty Python
Hilarious 😂
No real entertainment here. Just someone describing the skit.
Not ALL items on the menu contain SPAM!
The Fish Dance sketch is not on this list.
"I DON'T LIKE SPAM!!!"

“Cow!!!”
NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition!
Seriously, I thought Spanish Inquisition at #6 was kinda low but cannot argue with the Top 5.
The Bishop…
You would do better by keeping quiet and let the clips play !!!
Do we REALLY need the commentary on each sketch !... Surely the only opinions that matter - are the viewers !
She turned me into a newt a newt well it got better
Let them talk.
You forgot about the deaf sketch
Wheres the "Im a lumberjack" one
29:30
So the guys at watch mojo just watched the movies then.
Mr creosote is not one to watch while having dinner 🤢
Bad timing for both of us 😬
Sadly, the video presents (much!) more narration than content. Thanks for posting, but I was hoping for more actual sketch material.
Easy - Prejudice.
Is anyone surprised at #1?

"He's a very naughty boy"
Yeah, how about NOT TALKING OVER ALL THE ENTIRE FUCKIN SKETCHES!!
Seriously, you think you need to explain them to us? Be quiet and let us watch them please.
Way to spoil a great joke - explain it. Waste of time
You talk to much just play the skit bud
UTTER SHITE! 💯
HOWEVER did people find these funny? It's almost slapstick and utter crap. Just people indulging themselves. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Satire.
U seem like the type who wouldn't get why people enjoy Blackadder as well..
