Hi Richard and Emma. Due to some mobility issues I decided that a trike was for me. Somehow I thought it was like a bike that didn’t tip over. It’s nothing like I expected, but I love learning. My first ride on my neighborhood streets demonstrated how a crown in the road feels like you’re suddenly leaning. Drive on the left and it leans the other way. BUT my big question is setting the seat height. I remember on bikes I’d lean the bike over, throw my leg over and straighten up with my tip toes on the ground, but peddling was easy. The trike doesn’t do that, I straddle the trike and the seat is so low to sit on, Peddling is like having your knees hit your chin, and I don’t bend that far. Even so, I hold the brake, move the right pedal to the 3 o’clock position and kinda hop on to the seat. How do folks set the seat high enough to pedal and yet get on and off? Getting off is a whole new set of issues. (I used to ride motorcycles so I think I shouldn’t get stumped by a trike😢)
I consider you the Trike King. Thank you for addressing my question. 630's Easy Glide with the office chair looks comfy and very SAFE (but it still looks dorky!! lol). Seeing how my mobility and balance issue aren't getting any better - this might be the one I need. I need to go back and re watch Dustin's riding videos on the Easy Glide and re think my choices.
Thanks, and your welcome. The new version looks so much better. He moved the motor to the rear and put fat tires on instead of the skinny tires mine has.
Agreed. Mobility scooters serve an important purpose and now ebikes are also doing the same. Kinda hard to take a mobility device to the park, but if you can have an ebike to fill that need, its wonderful.
Sorry you didn't get the credit for the sale of the tour I ordered. I didn't know how to do that. Because of your video I will be riding with my wife again. I'm in my 70s with arthritis in my knee but the tour being semi recumbent will help me to peddle . Had to get rid of my last e bike. Balance issue's too so it's time for a trike. Almost bought something else until I watched your video. I'm sure I will be having fun riding again. At 265lbs this is going to be great. Thanks again Richard and happy new year.
I have just as much fun on my trike as a bike. Also, It has a big basket in the back that holds my tools, pump, lock, and jacket/gloves. It flips on its back like a turtle so I can work on it.
looking to get a trike myself i can ride a bike fine all but my shoulders and my back but i mainly use ebike for getting out and around and shopping and when you load 40-50lbs on a back rack i find i get top heavy
Can you please test for which trike works best for using counter steering to enable two wheel turns. I never read a review or even a mention of counter steering a tricycle.
I actually think because you have a bigger presence on the road. They notice you more in steer clear of you when you’re on a bike you just kind of blend with the side of the road.

I give advice all the time on E bike aspects and what to look at when buying or looking into E Bikes.. I hate to see people buying cheap, weak and low range E Bikes. 75% of people will want to purchase a second bike after they find out how much better other models are than what they've started with. At the same time, I would feel bad if someone was talked into buying something way over their skill level or needs of use.
BTW Emma is right on which video I was referring to. The kid on the electric scooter, speeding on the sidewalk. Even tho the other nutjob was just as guilty, if not more so.

I have been working on some mobility scooter videos. They fill a large need and dissing them is bad karma. You never know if or when you will need on.

@@EbikeReviews I have the same one you do. The Vocic D71. It is surprisingly light to toss in the car. It is just so frustrating only going 3-1/2 mph.
I hope you feel better soon! Thanks.

Good to know I'm not along on the whole trike thing.

Booster seat improves height🙂
Some people need a little boost.
I actually really like my new DJI mini mics.
Yeah, still considering them, I have so much equipment now that I don't use, I need to do something with it first. Hate to keep buying "stuff".
Do you feel that drivers are more likely to respect and give more space to a trike rider over one on a bike?

Stanley looks like he may haunt my dreams for a solid 2-3 months. Cant lie
He's been known to creep around the garage at night.

Is she trying to pull a rabbit out of there? 😂
I need to come up with a great question so I can be featured on the next Q&A video.
