The fact that Jan is not just a biological clone, but Jan in an alternative version, with different experience and skills sounds very interesting. I wonder if there will be interactions that may involve jealousy, such as Jan being in a relationship with a woman that ordinary Jan experienced rejection or anger because one of the Jans had much greater career success, maybe even had more loving parents... This game may be an interesting take on how the environment shapes a person.
There will definitely be plenty of jealousy, anger and more between different versions of Jans. We called it the emotional management part of the game!
11bit's ability to write narratives that play on Self v Self v Environment context is some of the best game design in the last 10 years. They did it with FP and TWOM, and with this looking to be a direct evolution in their formula; it scratches an itch that no other games can. Soooo excited for this
I feel like everything 11 bit creates is like a tropical oasis in a desolate desert. Such unique ideas stand out and shine compared to other games on the market. Keep up the good work!
Was thinking the same thing. 11bit stand out as one of my top dev companies currently. They represent the passion for interesting and unique games that is lacking in the commercial, corporate gaming studios! The same goes for GGG and EHG as well! I am currently having a blast with Last Epoch, can't wait for POE2 to come out and it's all in when FP2 and the Alters come out as well. These games are phenomenal!
I only recently discovered 11 Bit Studios, and through all of the games and stories this studio is promising. If they actually do it well (which they clearly has so far) then they will 100% soon take over the industry
This storyline is even more intriguing that I've originally thought it would be like! Hats off to the writers team, that's one exciting story that I'd love to explore!
dude this actually looks super friggin cool... really engaging concept. really impressive. wowzers. might actually try and buy this someday, depending on the price and sale deductions and stuff
Holy sh*t this looks even better than expected! I feel it's like a mixture of both very awe inspiring but at the same time anxiety inducing gameplay, with all the tension going on there, whilst fighting for survival... First Frostpunk 2, and then The Alters - this is gonna be a good year! :)
Creating altered versions of yourself and interacting with them is a crazy and promising idea. Especially while discovering mesmerizing alien world. Demo was great, I look forward to full game!
Man, I played both TWOM and Frostpunk to bits, who do I miss this? I'm very excited! Here's hoping you guys would one day make Story Driven RPG, with complete worldbuilding. A mature genre of RPG, with deep lore, tough decisions, grounded characters. But for now, I'll enjoy what I can.
Just played the demo and I lost my mind... You genuinely took This War of Mine, gave it steroids and sent it to space to evolve. Can't wait for a full release! Przepiekna robota, gratulacje!!! :)
Love the idea of different paths leading to "different" characters while all being one person. It allows for a natural bond to be there that's gonna be fun to explore.
You know the TV joke when an actor comes into audition for a cereal commercial and all they want them to do is say, "I'm coo coo for Cocoa Puffs", but the actor has to go overboard and create an elaborate backstory for the character eating the cereal? That's the vibe I got from this guy explaining this game. Just give us a cool space game. Why do we need all that extra crap? "This clone is from a reality where you married Jessica Alba." Who cares?? Just give me a spaceship and a lazer gun, and let me kill some aliens and space pirates!
I played the demo and I have to say, I wanted to continue. The possibilities of alternate versions of oneself was incredibly intriguing! Game of t he year 2024 I'm calling it.
11 Bit Studios must have been fans of the movie MOON with Sam Rockwell. I don't blame them. I love that movie. They definitely do their own twist to the premise. But you can clearly see inspiration. I'm 100% for this.
Wow. The Alter that on his decisions didn't wanted to leave his hometown let alone to another planet, its gonna be pissed of been brought into being there. The whole premise about the game sound so intriguing. Been a while since I'm this curious about how it'll turn out. Also, VERY happy it won't be a console exclusive and even more that it'll be on GOG.
To have a 3rd person game also be a 2.5d take on the fallout vault management type genre, also with RTS top down ish elements as well as rpg levelling, companion and resource management sounds insaaaaane
I've been waiting this game for over one year and a half. By watching the trailer I'm sure I'll buy it. Awesome storylines by 11bit studio. Also, really cool on how they merged the 2.5D base logic of This War of Mine with open world exploration. Really something out of the box. Congratulations team.
This might just be the coolest concept for a game I've ever seen. A cosmic horroresque survival-style game w/ psychological self-introspection & analysis subtext? WTFkinGold is this?!?
If they are able to tell a great cohesive story with all the internal conflicts being involved and different in different plays would tell if this game would be hit or not
So not simply clones but alternative versions of Jan. Color me interested. Also always love some nice space scifi segments with him walking around the inospit planet using a space suit. ♥
Wow, when I first heard the announcement for this last year, it never crossed my mind that this would be a 3rd person adventure game. I was so sure it was gonna be an isometric resource management game.
Looks very cool. Long time follower. Finally some gameplay. So it's exploration and base management. I'm hoping the exploration is extensive, secretly wishing for a traversal and collectaton Death Stranding type deal. The base inside a wheel to escape the burning dayside is quite clever. I wonder if there is anything in the game to justify how it stays upright.
How does someone come up with such a story? The writers in 11 bit are next level geniuses.
We can't argue with that ❤
Easily, if you have Dissociative Identity Disorder. 👏😂👍
Edit: Our compliments to the chefs.
Watch Moon, starring Sam Rockwell
You never saw Multiplicity?

Or maybe an Alter Jan who turned out gay and finds the other Alters hot. That would be something no other story has explored yet!
@@UnlimitedFlyerswtf lmao
@@UnlimitedFlyers nah. we have enough gay relationships in every other game. Lets keep it oem ^^

Jan: "Who are you?"
Another Jan: "Me?.. I am you, I will be your guide"
Anyone else getting this strange desire to be able to just....tip that wheel over?
I am.

What kind of functioning psychopath comes up with this kind of story? Genius. I'm in. Gimme it.
A lot of people, you are new to entertainment and sci-fi?
@wolfura still something amazing for a game with such a high quality and visual, not forgetting the relationship management.
Really cool idea honestly, nice little twist on base building + space exploration + decision making.
I feel like everything 11 bit creates is like a tropical oasis in a desolate desert. Such unique ideas stand out and shine compared to other games on the market. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your kind words! ❤

Frostpunk II + The Alters. 11 Bit saves The game Industry

Wow! What a premise! I love this! I don't play games like this normally, but this is compelling!

Damn, this looks cool. Interesting high concept video games are hard to come by these days, so kudos for putting something out there that's different.
Wow, this is such an interesting premise and mechanic!
WISHLISTED!!!
11 bit studios is becoming the new great hope for gaming... And gamers... Thank you 11 bit studios. Can't wait for Frostpunk 2 as well.
Love the idea of different paths leading to "different" characters while all being one person. It allows for a natural bond to be there that's gonna be fun to explore.
This idea is so original what a cool way to bring multiple different gameplay elements together to tell a unique story.
This looks INCREDIBLE! I love love love LOVE this! I loved Frostpunk, This War of Mine, Indika and The Invincible, this studio KNOWS how to DO IT!
The pitch is everything!! Wonderful designs and effects too!! Congrats to the devs!
This is the manifestation of the phrase "If you want something done right, do it yourself." with extra steps.
This plot is better than most movies. hope 11bit nails this game. looking forward to play this as soon as it releases.
Normally I don't like sci-fi themed stories but I love 11 bit studio games and it sounds so much interesting. I can't wait to play this game!
I am expecting a master piece, hope 11 Bit Studio lives up to their other games with this one!
Looks amazing!
Another one for Wishlist! This year will be so full of 11 Bit Games releases! And thats a good Year in my Book!
This game looks like it’s going to be so good. Incredible how you manage to create such unique games. Very excited to play!

11 bit is definately the best studio right now. banger after banger
Wow. This looks great, story idea is incredibly original, and potent, I just hope my computer can keep up!
I feel like the concept is close to the film Moon by Nathan Parker, and I'd love to see how it plays out in this videogame. Looks amazing!
This needs to be a movie ASAP. It’s just awesome 😮
This seems to be following the trend of devs making fully what they dreamt of making!
We've got the cream of the cream here, it looks very promising, with always news stories and innovative gameplay. Keep it up!
I can't wait to play this one, the premise is super interesting. an is if as difficult as the other 11-bit games, I'm all in for this new challenge!
A lot of people ask what you would do if you met an alternate version of yourself, but rarely do you answer with "Give them a job."
Holy crap how does one come up with a crazy story theme like this?! Writers must have very intimate relationship with their unconscious lmao
