You are right - I kept the bolts with the old shocks so as not to lose them...but that of course meant they escaped the rust bath. Meanwhile I managed to snap one of the bolts holding the axle shaft to the hub whilst torquing it to spec. It is going to be a night,mare to extract - never a shortage of content with this car! Mike

Those outer inboard bolts on the new shafts allow you to remove the shafts and change them or renew the boots without opening the differential to undo the clips.
Those shock bolts were begging for some of your usual rust treatment! Great work as usual.
