    There should be one carry output in the lower 4 bit adder ( BCD sum ). Or you can directly get it from the output of OR gate which is detecting the sum>9

    please explain
    when (we add 1000 and 1000 then the carry is 1 and four bit binary addition is 0000 ) 8+8=16; after adding 0000 and 0110 we get 0110 which not represnt 16
    ( when we add 1100 and 1100 then the carry is 1 and four bit binary addition is 1000) 12+12=24; after adding 1000 and 0110 we get 1110 which not represnt 24
    may be we are exceeding 15 ?????

    I think you should carry one more output fom or gate downwards .
    try adding 8+8 u get 6 instead of 16
