Step 1: put the water in your mouth and DON’T SWALLOW IT!
Step 2: tilt you head as far back as you can go, so the water falls to the back of your throat.
Step 3: basically just breath out through your mouth with water in your mouth

If you absolutely can't, you don't have to. You can just use a trilled R. Which used to be the way French was spoken. Until the bourbon Royal family who were originally German came into power

The Bourbons weren’t Germans, but they were the one whom in the 1670-80s standardized this uvular R pronunciation.

I speak arabic and it's similar to خ/غ (we also do the gargle thing to help the foreigners pronounce it correctly)
but it's like WAAY thicker and you sometimes hold it longer.. (The French r) that's where i struggle, the initial r sound is easy for me to pronounce but it's either too thin or sometime you can't hear it
Maybe it's bcz i associated it with غ (which is closer to a G sound 'gh' ) or خ ( closer to K sound 'kh')
So i think french R could be that.. but like with r sound which idk how

@@tacocruiser4238the best way i can describe it is kh is far more back and stronger while the gh is slightly to the front and weaker, i am a native arab so i don't know how to explain it better than this, but hope you learn it soon
