Concentrated & creative on one Task Always telling the truth without filter creating only meaningful relationships Highly intellectual.. What you call these people? You call them legendary I call them Autistic #AutismAcceptanceMonth
Autism is a spectrum disorder. People can be diagnosed as autistic but turn out to be brilliant in one or a selective sphere of life. But on the other extreme if it expresses on the higher end it could show up as speech disorders, or speech language disorders among many other things. I am mildly autistic, and hold two postgraduate majors in science(I completed both in the same timeframe). It was slightly more challenging for me, but I studied with normal folks but hey if they were crazy enough to do that, normal is a subjective term and found that my lack of social skills was not a hindrance. Strangely I also made a lot of friends who showed similar traits in post-graduation, also lived a completely independent life in a hostel and found that I'm very good at time management since I'm able to have a high degree of focus. I'm very good at and excel at reading patterns and non verbal communication. I am admittedly also a polyglot and speak 6 languages. Interested in learning more, very good at languages. But for someone good at languages I do admit I have difficulties forming relationships, have an ocd with perfection but I overcompensate with an ability to complete tasks with high efficiency. Since I'm not keen on small talk. I also enjoy highly technical subjects and love nature. I'm also fond of reading complex subjects everything ranging from science to philosophy just for the love of it. Making friends and parties are not my strong suites. But I feel depth of emotions perhaps more intensely than neurotypical people. Honestly I find neurotypical people boring and uninteresting. I do understand guile and shrewdness displayed by neurotypical people and know how it works but I feel no urge to assert myself in power struggles. Somehow I'm able to see through it enjoy the pettyness and work around it. Yes I sit on a high horse 😊. My biggest challenge is I find mundane life boring. Do enjoy a higher sense of self and purpose. Life throws challenges and keeps throwing more I enjoy them and overcome them. Hope to contribute in small but positive ways to society. You, learn you become self aware and cope. They laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at them because they're all the same.😅
Guys such a beautiful initiative. I'm really impressed by the way questions are formed, a great way to build conversations while unwrapping various angles of 'Autism'...👍
