I remember my 1st ride on that monster , I was in my early 20's >>> almost 55 now ... I was hooked . I have hereditary heart disease now and a low ejection factor on my heart which makes it hard to breath and a bit tough to rip like my days of being young . Never lose your health .. Really thankful for GoPro and guys like yourself that let me at least relive some of my days as a Rocket Man ..I bet that young guy would get faster on those laps after riding the 500 more. Takes some balls and some time to get use to it .
Shane Watts....dirt kitchen session on a 97 125exc.... (ideally in the rain) ....I would pay to see that ......✊
Saw Shane Watts win a Gncc at Loretta Lynn's, it was freakin awesome ! On the 200 exc i think, anyway he was flying it was raining, and he smoked his tire off on the podium , epic !
yes yes yes and fucking yes!!
In 2015 I bought my first dirtbike after finding Adam’s channel..... I was 34. I haven’t looked back.... but my ambition definitely outweighs my talent and I’m currently nursing a knackered shoulder so can’t ride 😄.
Cause your bike wasn't tuned either.
@@dreyn7780 you’re absolutely right 👌🏻
been there...AC joint tear tossy II on the left and partial rotator cuff tear on the right.
@@michail1963 oof, not nice at all! Hope you recovered fully 👍🏻
@@michail1963 that’s a very tough lesson to learn. The hard way.
The bikes must be tuned to something and then ridden within their limits so that nobody gets hurt.
But all I see is riding that exceeds the components ability.
What seems like a basic jump landing on the flat surface actually causes the motor to slam into the dirt track and the wheel rims to buckle etc..
Every crash for the last 15 years is caused by riders exceeding the engineering limits.
Everyone’s got slow motion video footage now, so you can see the components fail during a race.
Tune the suspension for cornering instead of jumps cause the jumps tuning was done by the designer in the factory.
Forcast: periods of dust complemented by roost full of stones of all sizes. 😂😂😂
What a incredible guy, super humble and so accomplished.... he's a weapon
What a hell of a nice guy. Really enjoyed the vid Adam. Still nice n green down there.
Do you like watching Untuned motorbikes.
@@dreyn7780 always the hater.... the bike runs perfect. Do you like watching james charles?
Really, really enjoyed this video. Owned a cr500 1995 from 2012-2016. Awsome bike, lots of character, not for beginners nor lazy people. And the mad max part was a great bonus, I recently watched the old mad max movies. Next bike should be the ktm sx 380. Very rare bike I think. You hardly see one for sale nowadays.
Kaplan cycles has one I think. He just did a video on it.
Was going to request the same, KTM 380! That's my dune weapon! The only things that keeps up with this at the Glamis dune drags are the Cr500 and KTM500s. Its a total sleeper cell in the modern chassis.
You idiots destroyed them.
This CR 500 is getting destroyed in This video.
Adam, I know you’re going through a lot (well, this is what it looks like).
Don’t give up, you built one of the most amazing dirt riders channel ever.
A big thumb up from the UK.
Take care mate.
So stoked the dirt kitchen is back and in good timing I just finished watching the old ones. Love ya vids mate keep the epic vids coming 👍🏻🤙🏼👍🏻🤙🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺
Addo is a legit Wildman gentleman
One of the best youtube series keep it up man !
Fantastic vid thanks Adam. What a humble bloke 👌
Still one of my favourite videos on your channel. How crazy is it that 20 years ago you could buy a mint 500 for 4K or a new one for about 8. Love it.
Toby Price on Dakar setup, flying mullet.....yewww 👌
Wanne say one off the best episode bu they are oal good
Thx for the video man
Grts from out off belgium 🇧🇪
Bro you have the best videos even before I watch I jus feel.....you inspire me
Far out ADDO what an amazing tuff fella.I have 3 500cc bikes in my day the most awesome bike on earth.I brought a 2022WR250F thanks to you guys with the power trip
Still riding my XR200R on the rocky mining trails in my Colorado back yard. Life is an enduro. Age 71!
I love you videos
Adam, once the borders open.....would love to see my idol from the 70’s-80’s......Stephen Gall on your show....even for a casual ride.
The era of Gall, Bailey, Flood, Cramer, Gunter Vandenberg etc was the start for MX in Oz.
My first solo drive when I got my car license was driving to the 1983
Mr Motocross at Broadford.
Love your channel.
Stephen Gall hasn't got a clue how to ride a dirtbike.
The idiot told people to ride bikes with brakes that aren't tuned.
Very happy to see you healthy and active. Pushing winter in Ontario Canada, and we've had our first dose of snow. Now a Pacific storm has us back in summer weather, not that it will last.
I love that 500, had my turn on the 480R air cooled. It is a beast!!!
Never fail to amaze us with your never changing evolution of camera quality. So sik Adam 👌✊
Toby Price on the 07 Cr250R
Another great session Adam Mike has covered some territory in his life great to see them doing well.
Steve Gill would be good to see on an old vintage YZ
Thanks
Dave
Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best video motocross !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome!! CR5's rock. Addo looks like such a mild mannered guy in his clean cut white gear , then rips it up on that beast! Legend !
#1 Bucket List bike
Super awesome , love the 500.
I have owned 3 CR500’S so thank you for the walk down memory lane. Nothing quite like those big bore smokers. One bike I rode that has left a lasting impression on me was a KTM 440MX. Probably the sickest power curve ever. Short stroke big bore that wound up like a 250. Un fuckin real! I have always wished KTM would revisit that displacement with the short rod big jug. If you’ve never thrown a leg over one you should track one down and give it a squeeze. Better yet! Find one and stuff the motor in a modern chassis…. Either way I would enjoy hearing your take on that motor… Thanks for all the rad content. Long live the smokers!
Hey you gonna get Chad Reed to check out the dirt kicthen ?
Love love that shot @5:59, that's a calender shot !!
Mate we need to see the king, David knight. Make it happen. Love your work.
This guy is the lord of the lands!! Killer riding mate!!🤘🏻
Love th dirt kitchen. Any bike just keep em coming.👍
Amazing they are! 85-87 are my favorites. 87 being my preferred CR500R
Another awesome video, it would be awesome to find a 1981 Maico 490 to do the dirt kitchen. Another big cc Mx bike in the ilk of the CR500!
It's all wrong information.
All 81 bikes have already been found.
Who's building those thousands of smashed and thrashed bikes?
They're all dead.
Rear steer. I love it.
Kane Holt is another West Austrlain to race the NATS on a 500cc. But, he raced a KX250 with a KX500 engine in it.
Still rides Service Honda CR500af
Lives in Esperance (sp?). Victorian here.
Get him in the dirt kitchen. He's a champ!
I always wanted to see a KX500 put into a 90's KX250 Steel Perimeter Frame, the only 1 I'd heard of was the Late Great Andrew McFarlane's KX500 GP Special!!🇦🇺👍
Now you’ve done the cr250 and cr500. Time to do the 125
Dude... I love your channel
I meet a bloke 2 years ago and only learned he has 2 cr500s never seen one till yesterday 7.1.21 had goose bumps almost in tears sitting on the animal and he said YOU CAN RIDE IT my adrenalin was already goin mental at that stage my dream is to ride a 500.... i ride a new 2020ktm 300 tpi atm. its hard to describe the felling i felt looking at the cr500 i remember watching crusty demons when i was young and that feeling is how i feel looking at this bike i can not wait to ride the beast CR500 FURY......
That CR is a weapon
Majestic ✊👌
The Sound of the CR 500 is amazing, i would like to hear that ride in binaural audio. Any suggestions ?
amazing video cant wait for more of the dirt kitchen
Need to get Toby there on the rally bike!
500 2t FINALLY!!! Thanks adam!!
That 500 hauls love your vids
Won't be too long and that Mad Max stuff will be an everyday occurrence here in South Africa....
Amazing
You arent done with the big bore 2-strokes yet- there is still the KTM 540 & 550, and the big Maico 620 & 700.
Looks like a great track, just dusty AF.
Brilliant
Sweet 💯
That was brilliant. Very interesting interview
Damn, Addison likes to test himself. Kudos to him but I’ll take the soft life, thanks. Nice film, guys.,
Bring out an old 380 exc or sx
Great content I love the classic 2 Strokes I ride a 98 KX250 just love it sounded like that 500 was hitting some golf balls at you LOL boy that's gotta hurt keep it up I love your videos God bless
Untuned motorbike.
These stupid people deserved a few rocks to the head.
How many years and they STILL can't tune the bike.
I just wanna see Toby Price do the lap on that CR500
We don't.
I used to have a ktm 360, that thing scared me a lot more than any cr500 ever did. Would love to see who's got the nads to really wind one up around the kitchen.
Every bike is Over engineered.
So You're supposed to tune the bike.
They all have a 'turn the power down' screw.
Adam you have to do a ktm300 dirt kitchen video!!!! Would be siiiiick!!! Maybe a 2010 300 vs a 2020 300 to see the big changes
yes finally thank you awesome cr 500 now thats living
Would be a very interesting video to see you riding one of the new ktm 690 enduro on that track.
Reed would be an epic dirt kitchen - not sure what bike(s) his beloved YZ 250 AND maybe his latest KTM 450??
Like your pigs nicely done Adam i used to love the big two strokes few years back my buddy put a cr500 engine into the alloy frame crf450 i had 99 ktm 380 and they were a really good match for each other cant say i miss the bdang bdang ha ha.
Da beast! Great show as usual! Dirt kitchen might not be the best setup for it, but man I would like to see Jarvis on your show!
-This video was to nice, great, this man have the real rider life stile.
(Great Channel ARiemann1)!!!!
-About some nice motorcycle I wish to see more about
the cagiva, other day the 999 lazer channel showed the
early 90 and late 80 models, here in Brazil we have some
cagivas motorcycles
-Our Brazilian brand called Agrale motors broght some Cagivas, ((Agrale 27.5 ex) Brazilian name for our model), from Italy, thanks a lot!!!
Another great video . Very Nice bike 👌🤘🏾✊
XR650R.....get the tractor back on the farm!
Good stuff love it!
As always, a great video! Wish my 1190r could take hits like that. .....would love to see you take your big ktm on that!
Hi mate get yourself a maico 490 to have a pop around your track on .
Awesome video!!
mint cr 500 very very strong bike
Good Bike! HI!
Great to see one of my bikes on top (22 FE501 same bike as a 2020) Hard to believe that it was faster than a CR500. Just shows how much it is the rider compared to the bike. I've converted mine to a Supermoto and I still want more grunt. I think that a CR500 is just too brutal which in turn makes for a slower lap time or Addo needed more time to get comfortable on it.. 🤷♂
Adam, bring Chris Birch down to hit the track on the KTM 1290 R
Maico 490
Bring out a yz426f
I look forward to all your videos, and this one didn't disappoint!
You're blind and deaf.
That unmistakable 500 idle, great bike in the bush also with so much torque.
If you could fish out someone with an atk 700 intimidator or the carbon copy maico 700, bonus points if you can kick start it with a left foot kicker!
Plot twist- it *IS* the Maico. Just rebadged with the Maico logo ground off.
Drones have revolutionized RUclips videos
There's only 1 problem, guys.
You know how when somebody says that statement, it always leads to you having to redo everything over again.
The bike designer wants you to go around corners with the throttle set near 50%.
You need to take out the look at me jumps and the egotistical straights and tighten up the rear shock wheel spin timing delay setting, and learn to master an oval race.
You've tuned the rear to DELAY wheel spin until You're halfway down the straight. But YOU thrashed the throttle 5 metres out of the corner.
That causes the rear tyre tread to dig a hole in the track.
They didn't give YOU control of the springs.
If you drop engine revs to zero going around corners, you've also set the springs to no load.
I bet you drive all these Unique bikes, the same way.
How is it possible that you can make unique parts behave like their all the same part?
No load on the springs means NO droop setting and the wheels will get airborne everytime you drive over a depression in the track surface.
You're insane.
You can't even control your track position going around corners.
Can You get hold on to a 2000 era Husqvarna TE610? That would be interesting.
Good throttle response: on another page lost into a black hole anywhere www there was a story very interesting for you guys.
Eric Geboers told the HRC mechanics one day, to mount him a one size smaler carburator (36 right? Can't remember). Those times mid '80s when HRC RC 500 were dominating the class of kings everybody was looking to have more power and the strongest bike as possible to win the holeshot at least with 39 guys try the same like you do. First view the works mechanics couldn't trust their ears Mr. 875 was demanding. So, they make a deal. One race an we will see. He won both holeshots that day!
He explainded later, he had a better feel of traction with the smaler carburator.
The time GP's had 2 x 40 minutes plus 2 laps a day on 70 horespower works bikes for guys like Eric ...
R.I.P. Eric "Mr. 875" Geboers and thank you for those great memorys!
3 times Enduro du Touquet winner (1988, 1989, 1990 all on RC530 and longer swingarm)
and five time world champion: amcn.com.au/editorial/remembering-eric-geboers/
Saw him racing at the german GP/Northeim 1988, MXdN 1985 + 1989 Gaildorf/Germany, fantastic rider! I will never forget!
Well, I found the black hole, my memory is bad, read for yourself: www.mxworksbike.com/index.php/1989-honda-rc500m
Had a cr500 when i was 16, absolutely loved it. Went to go buy a cr500e when i was 18 and my dad cracked it and didnt want me riding it in the road and made me get my deposit back etc i believe id still have that bike today nearly 20 years later. Jokes on him ended up with a rgv250 and later a gsxr.
YEAHHH BABY
Would love to see Toby price on the dirt kitchen with a kx 250 2stroke
Adam, why not try one of the BRC 500cc conversion kits? A modern twist on the 500cc 2 strokes.
4k 4k 4k!
Yeeeeehaaaa ring ding ding
I can smell the premix through My phone!
500cr 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🤘
Top bloke.Interested in your opinion of 2020 yz 250 fx.?
Nice track,had a 480 and 500,the 480 was nasty,they calmed it down when they made 500.
Troy Herfoss....Dirt Kitchen Session 1983 RM500...............
Keep the 500s coming, WR500, KX500 or go for a Maico 700!
Fully enjoyed that, felt like 5 minutes went for 20.
I skipped over 60 % of that video cause it was FULL of lies and gossip.
That was the worst bike riding on Untuned motorbikes.
Simple things amuse simple minds.
Sir , i would like to see u riding our only offroad bike hero xpulse ...from India.
the cr500 still the most lethal dirt bike made the roost it sends
