I played GOW as a semi pro from 2008-2017 & i rarely ever wall bounced
I compensated my lack of wall bouncing by just backing up from any 1V1 & playing a cat/mouse game by reeling any opponent to some planted shock/smoke grenades & from there "stick & move" with my gnasher & snub pistol

yo are u able to change the camera angle still on gears 5 while aiming down sights? like u use to be able to press ur joystick in and it would switch from left to right n stuff
That was never a thing in gears , it was always a manually inputted lefty flip from cover
@@heartattack-gearsbootcampt3035 there was a time where u could press in on ur joy stick and it would flip to a left camera angle on god bro lol it was only when u were behind cover and u aimed in

So no paddles ? You play claw or nah? Do you recommend LB over paddle bouncing ?
If you don’t have paddles I recommend using LB.
Pros: master all and your set. Cons: make a error in any of these steps and 1 well placed shot means death
Also, majority of these aren’t used. Very easy to pick off. Especially for veteran gears players
To top it off even more, the basis of all of these techniques is based off of others pattern of movement. The basic pattern is a short simple side to side wall bounce. Some may get more ambitious and try to longer wall bounces but leaves them more open to shots. Some cut short of the wall bounce, some do the full bounce.
Regardless, fully understanding each type and realizing only very few methods are effective will give you the upper hand. As long as you can land your shots

With run and cover on the same button, how do you stop yourself from miss-rolling?
You have to just get used to the distance of wallbouncing but everyone missrolls just try to minimize it
Your using LB as your wallbounce how do you get rid of your tac map if it’s on LB button?
Switch to classic alt then go to control remapping and switch lb and a that's what I do

It’s a different control scheme but it swaps A and LB

How is your control settings?.
I play tournament, on defaulternate control scheme, my sense is 29-25-25. And I use single stick
I can do slow bounces and cancel but I still don’t get how to do those really fast bounces, I always end up rolling. I guess I’m either timing or aiming incorrectly.
Just takes some getting used to , learn intermediate bounces first. Get used to that for about a week then try moving your thumbs a bit faster and you will bounce faster. Takes time but you will get it

No I use tournament control scheme but in defaulternate

I can't cancel wall bounce that's too many buttons at once lol but I can wall bounce no cancel and I do ok with that.
Takes time but you will get the hang of it the more you practice

Settings and go to controller and change your control scheme

@@jorgemelendez3516 if you want defaulternate control scheme mixed with tournament then chose classic alt control scheme , re map A to LB, X to LB , Y to X , LB to A
How do you swap A with LB ?

@@Omariskiii id remap your buttons , go to controller settings, put it in Classic-alt. Remap LB to A , X to LB , Y to X , and A to LB. this will make it defaulternate control scheme but tournament style as I play
That’s literally twitch bouncing not wall bouncing there’s also air bouncing I’m guessing not a single one of you played gears two when it came out 🤦♂️

Yes it’s called tournament control scheme and has been in gears since Gears UE, it was in Gears 4 and carried over to Gears 5. Many players use this as you don’t suffer from the claw or have to play thumbs and move your hand off the right thumb stick all the time

Don't wallbounce. You are just embarrassing yourself. It means you can't play the game default. Literally can't play at all. You become dependent on exploits. Next you will change settings and end up just getting smoked out and sawed down repeatedly.

So it turns into a smoke toss saw festival. So lame. It's gears of War not jet set radio
It’ll never make sense why this has even has to be learned. I’m ashamed to be here and I’ve been playing Gears since the original. Mfs are so scared of close combat and can’t really shoot so y’all have to glitch everywhere. I’ma be cheating now too.
