    No person doing dumbbell shoulder press has ever said “Let’s warm up with 60’s (kg) for as many reps as possible”
    But this is Eddie, not exactly a average human haha

      @Evan Koch Taller the better for deadlift. Long arms mean they don't have to travel as far from the floor.

    • @jonnywilson9117
      @jonnywilson9117 4 года назад

      @@Beautiful_Sound_1995 wrong. shorter femurs which Eddie has is better for deadlift because you don't have to bend at the hip and knees as much. If he had slightly longer femurs it would be a bit harder. Shorter Arms are better for bench press because there's less range of motion involved as opposed to if you have longer arms. Shorter arms in a deadlift would mean you'd be pivoting a lot more at the knees and hips. Making the deadlift harder. Which none of this takes away from his 500kg Deadlift either.

    • @jaredstaten5722
      @jaredstaten5722 4 года назад +21

    • @starcow17
      @starcow17 4 года назад +22

      Have you seen him try to do yokes? or any kind of running event? He is terrible. Especially now. He was never good at that, but with him not training them, he's gotten worse. He will always be as strong but conditioned is something he will never be anymore.

    • @kb8729

      Static pressing eddie is a freak. Short bulky limbs limits his athleticism in events. But pressing he is ludicrous

    • @MrOasis316
      @MrOasis316 4 года назад +3

      starcow17 I disagree I think with 6 months training he could get back to being top 3 in the world at WSM. His static strength is arguably better than anyone competing now and he’s retired. Sure his movement was never great but it was good enough there is no reason he couldn’t get it back to where it was when he won WSM.

His knowledge and experience would only come to the fore if you had a year or two of serious strength training under your belt (i.e. 5 times a week for an hour or two each session) and were looking to start lifting very heavy weights.
