Last time I played Dazzle, it was the most tiring game as a support. Not only did I have to keep 4 people alive, I also had 5 people diving straight for me at the start of teamfights.

What i always thought he said "Dual wave" not "do the wave." made more sense as the wave had dual purpose of damage and heal.

Thanks for remember the old Dazzle, I don't remember that 300 secs cooldown on level 1 but was very funny for me and my friends saw a ally revive very fast.
I still remember my awe when i killed a hero for the first time with shadow weave. For the longest time i thought it dealt 100ish damage once instead of once per target, so to see a guy get deleted by being next to the creep wave had my jaw on the floor.
Wait, it does damage per bounce?!
Well, I have killed a max lvl sf with a single shadow wave before and i didn't even know his there ( because shadow blade)...😂😂 although I'm not sure if his full health at that time, that moment was priceless...

I take issue with the characterization of his original Shallow Grave ultimate. That spell was BROKEN when Dazzle first came out! It had no duration limitation, so you basically gave your ENTIRE TEAM free Bloodstones (Bloodstone wasn't the thing at the time, IIRC) that never lost potency! You'd win games by having Dazzle on your team, because your side ALWAYS had superior comeback, no matter how disastrous your teamfight was. The first major nerf was giving the spell a duration, which meant putting it on your carry before a major fight. But that couple of weeks where it was at full power was amaaaaaaazing (or a nightmare, if you regularly played against it). Ah, those were the days...

You forgot mention the fact that Bad juju made Dazzle into a all-rounded role. You could play him mid, offlane, support and it works (for the most part on the early-mid game) since Bad juju helped him farm fast and had a Necro book with no downtime which also synergies with Poison touch and Healing wave.

It would seem that the ancestral trappings set description references the scaling over time of Dazzle's old spell effects.

Before I watched the video I played a ranked match(my second ever) I played Axe off lane the enemy team had a dazzle and I felt first hand how great it is to chop trough that grave. ^^
