Hey Dan. Thanks for your videos! You are the guy that introduced me to KLIM and I can’t say enough about their gear. I’m taking a trip to Togwotee in January and can’t wait to really test everything. Your the man!!

Good thing to add to the bag would be some type of tarp to place all items on so they don’t get lost in the snow or scattered

Thanks for the great Vids Dan - - if you know anyone in the military, when I served, they had quick release shoulder straps on the ruck sacks... so the ruck sack was much larger than these packs, but the straps and releases allowed one to dismount rapidly - - if you get the opportunity to check it out, might be able to make a recommendation to Klim... thanks again for the awesome vids...

Yeah I’ve been pushing hard for some type of quick release system! I’ve got quite a few military crews that attend NXT LVL and they are always telling me about what’s possible in terms of backpack modifications that could “quick release” and allow us to get to our gear quicker!! Trust me when I say that Klim has heard of these ideas and is always looking to improve 👊
      Thanks for watching!!!

Only thing I don’t like about the transceiver pocket is being separated from your transceiver if you have to get into your pack 🤷🏻‍♂️

I had an idea for these packs and I'd be curious to hear some feedback from the community on if this.
Would it be useful to add a wiring harness through the pack back to one centralized hub where you could charge or top off all your batteries at once simply by plugging in your backpack for the night.
Certain pockets would have usb-c, or micro plug in attachments to top all your batteries off as well as your avalanche capacitor overnight, then you can just grab and go the next day knowing you have all your gear and everything is at 100% again and ready to roll.

I hear what you are saying….one of the most common complaints riders have with all of this gear is how many things need to be charged almost daily to work so having a system like that is a great idea 💡
If companies could get together and decide on 1 type of charging port plus design the packs so each item had power near it’s location…plus one main charge point….that would be insane!!!
      Awesome plan….🤜🤛
Thanks for sharing and watching 🤘🤘🤘

Klim makes nice gear that I can't afford! Also where I live no battery would survive a afternoon in a backpack! Had to make a insulated and heated Summit glove box for phone and gopro. But we don't have avalanche so, not complaining!

    Thanks for the video.
Bummed they chose to not have a dedicated shovel pocket.
I understand it is a compromise to keep the pack thin. Perhaps an external shovel and rapid probe deployment (RPD) would be “better”.
I read the atlas 14 can adapt the RPD. I found it handy on my atlas 26 when training. Can you speak to the RPD?

Hey bud thanks for watching. Yeah the separation from our tools inside the pack would have been a great detail that I hope will get addressed in the future. As far as the RPD I think the best solution to this would be an actual probe and shovel rapid deployment system that allowed us to keep our packs on through the entire rescue process. Obviously we’d have to take the pack off to re-pack everything but imagine a devise that allowed us to deploy all our tools without asking a buddy or taking our own packs off. Would be cool. The probe deployment is cool…but having both tools would be awesome 👏🏽
      Thanks again 🙌

Not to be a wet blanket but the “padding” on the front of the vest is basically 1/8th” basically nothing bca’s new vest padding is by far better over all 💁‍♀️ for the price tag it’s underwhelming BCA’s old and new vest definitely offers better chest protection

Trying to decide which size to get. 5' 11" 185 lbs. I will be switching from an Aspect 16 and Tek Vest to the Atlas 14 vest.

Hey bud yeah you’ll really need to get to a dealer and try on both sizes. The one area that seems to get tight or uncomfortable is the under the arms area of the vest being a bit too small for taller/bigger riders. Going with the L-XL may be the better fit but everyone is a little different.
      Thanks for watching 🙏🙏

I will stick with BCA, the vest has much better protection
