@@False_Refracted actually it's 21:50 (actually 21:51 is closer but 21:50 is what i think Яefracted meant to type) it's ok it's an easy mistake to make
1:48 Stephen said his "Martha" wasn't a reference but then his opening hand included a "Batman vs Superman" card. So does that make it a reverse reference? A 'reverence' if you will. Wait, that's already a word.... oh well.
Know the feeling. The card that I made was the "In the Red Corner" and it was awesome to see the person who could arguably make the most of it, Tom. What a cool but cruel card btw.
oh man, everyone's commenting on the teeth chanting and the custom Smash, but if you were there for Hayley and Thomas's EarthBound TEETH runs, you know the score. B) Such a... terrifying teeth overlay
ruclips.net/video/tzJKPwivfvs/видео.html LINK (ha!) to the "Zelda is Princess" video that Hayley mentioned. Which is definitely one of the best StephenPlays videos.
I know this is only somewhat related to this specific video, but what would happen if someone submitted a card that had the name as a card that has already been submitted (but with different effects). I ask this because I submitted a card named gift exchange before watching this video (because the playlist is in reverse chronological order) with different effects.
So wait, I'm really confused right now (heh) I'm new to this series, but not the game. Is it possible to play it on your computer now? I'm making this comment before watching the entire video, so apologies if it's explained at any point, but I'd like some insight regardless!
We use a game called "Tabletop Simulator" which allows you to import your own images and play just about any game you'd like, so we have viewers submit cards (link in description) then we add to them to our game.
Shouldn't have petty change have affected everyone else? The ocarina only affected the play area it was played to thus only Tom's but petty change was played to center.
For Scarecrow? No, it's always been turns are when a player plays and a round is when every player has played once. Also, the Scarecrow wouldn't have even worked, anyway. The card was being "played" after the game ended, so nothing on the board actually mattered when it came to who Dan used it against.
@@ShinseiWarujima sorry, but not everyone words the cards taht way. Most card games say "after you have this many turns", very few say after this many rounds. So naturally the person who wrote the card would have wrote turns and not rounds. It did say after he had played the card, but it didn't say after the game was over, so all effects did still apply.
@@scarffoxandfriends9401 Your first statement makes no sense, because you're agreeing with me. And it doesn't say "after the game is over" verbatim, but it *does* say "after the final turn." This _implies_ after the game is over, because the game is over _after the final turn._ Which means, again, the Scarecrow wouldn't have had any effect in the first place.
@@ShinseiWarujima I'm not agreeing with you for the first one. I'm saying a lot of people say Turns and not Rounds, as a large amount of card games say stuff like "for you next two turns" and things of the sort. Chaz plays Magic, which how he speaks probably does separate the terms Turns/Rounds, but most people see the words as same. I don't think card effects would have turned off just because it was after the last turn, cause then Chaz could have just said that was the case instead of saying it's been more than 5 turns.
ScarfFox and Friends Except most people _don't_ use them to mean the same thing, because most people know they *aren't* the same. Most card games only affect turns in the game in the first place, so they wouldn't ever mention "rounds." As for the second bit, well, it's already been shown that they don't always pay attention to how a card works (hence why the Scarecrow was even still on the field), so, clearly most wouldn't realize it's after the game is over, thus no cards would affect it.

@Alex Larsen A. I completely missed that I forgot Stephen B. I did this exact same thing on some of the earlier videos so I didn't really think to explain.
Okay. Tom just ominously singing the Song of Time was amazing. And I TOTALLY would have abused that accidental cycle Tom made.
Okay Tom just breaking out into Song of Time was amazing 21:45
12:50 is closer to when he starts actually singing but if you want context for why he played the card, the stamp above is what you want

Kinda fun that this round of 1kBWC was about teeth when Tom's Custom Smash that was released today was about the same thing XD
"Martha"
"WHY Did you write that NAME!"
Why not?
@@xJC4Rx Mainly because it inspired my Batman v Superman reference I guess? 🤷
It’s his mother’s name!

Martha is a stephen meme from the future. You dont get it yet
Awww, Alex. As an Australian, I appreciate you, too
8:55 The announcer effect wasn't added in post?
Nope. Tom's mic was made for guitars, so he's able to do all sorts of effects,
@@adamrhodes9533 Oh wow, that's pretty cool.
Wicked3DS nope, he has a voice changer he uses. He uses it a lot and is creative
How funny that this video ended with a teeth chant, when today's episodes of Custom Smash revolved around teeth at Tom's channel.
First Custom Smash and now Stephen and Friends: TEETH

This may be a silly question but does anyone, by any means, know the tune around 21:00 is? Thanks!
Once the confused card came out, I was immediately reminded of Cling On from Vinesauce Tomodachi Life. Anyone else?

At the end of the round, you should show all of the cards that weren't played so that people know if their card was there.

I hope someone added how many times Dan referenced Homestar Runner to the Stephen Wiki...

It was understood that he was playing it to center, because even if he played it to his area, it wouldn't've negated Petty Cash at all.
