Arjun Erigaisi won against Dominguez (2748) I Insure India its first ever Chess Olympiad Gold!

Team India is just one step away from the finish line - they defeated the USA by 2.5-1.5 in the 10th and penultimate round of the Chess Olympiad! What an amazing performance by the boys.
The Indian Open Team actually suffered their first loss in an individual game today. Wesley So played a brilliant game with the White pieces to defeat Praggnanandhaa, and was the first one to take lead. The pressure was on for others!
Gukesh delivered the much needed win - he played a superb game against Fabiano Caruana to defeat him on the top board. Gukesh managed to outplay the World no.3 from a complex middlegame!
Arjun Erigaisi managed to create a better position against Leinier Dominguez right out of the opening. He played a picture-perfect game, cleanly converting his advantage to a convincing win.
Levon Aronian tried to create some chances for a long time against Vidit Gujrathi, but to no avail. Vidit defended well and held a comfortable draw! This clinched the Indian Open Team a fantastic win against the top seeds of the Chess Olympiad, USA.
