Still one of the greatest games in North Melbourne history! I can't get over the talls on the field!!!! - Rocca, McKernan, Petrie, Hale, Brown What a win that one!!! Makepeace left far before his time..
I was at that game. I remember saying to a young Swans supporter at 3/4 time that we would come back and win. I then passed him on the way out looking glum and said "i told ya we would win" LOL.
Yeah, his good mate Wally Jackson had just died on the interchange bench. Both team doctors were trying to resuscitate him. But no, I'm sure he was upset about the game 🙄
a great win no doubt, but I recall a Sydney trainer had a heart attack at the player's bench and died in the last quarter which would distract a few players.
Wally Jackson, the Sydney head trainer, died on the bench in the last quarter. Every player and lots of us spectators knew what was happening, but could do nothing.
Similar to the Geelong game last week. Sydney was more efficient in front of goal which kept them in the game but we had way more scoring shots. The better team won on both occasions.
1:44 the best ever goal by a ruckman in the history of the AFL
I recall Matthew Kruezer doing something similar a couple of times for Carlton
Away from home 40 points down at 3 qtr time......how good must it have felt for the north fans that stayed at the game.
SilentHotdog28 the swans head trainer died on the bench from a heart attack which is why they faded away
@@BarbellFooty Nah the players didn't know until after the game
@@BarbellFooty piss weak excuse
@@justintribe9367 fkn hell, i reckon ay 🤣🤣
Awesome match, awesome come back, go Roos!!!!!
The North side back then was full of average players who were freakish when on. Harding, Makepeace, Jones, Grant etc.
