The best instructional video I have seen on this topic. Not only does it look amazing, but your steps are clear and there is no extra work discussing everything. Short, sweet and to the point! Love it.
honestly, a great video. thank you. illustrates the process from start to finish, without any distractions or needless details. one thing that may be worth pointing out is to brush with the grain (which is what was done, but not explicitly called out). five stars you guys.
Tip: For large areas (where a big splinter of wood is missing), forget the melting tool. Select the right color. Use a small sharp knife to hold the bar of wax and use a BBQ grill lighter to melt the wax into the repair area, then continue to use the lighter on the wax to keep it flowing and let it spread evenly into all the tiny crevices into the repair area. Then let it cool off for five minutes and then use the plastic sanding tool to lightly sand the area down (use long back and forth strokes not only on the wax but over the wood for uniformity). Don't press too hard down on the plastic sanding tool. Light back and forth strokes are enough. Finally, use a very fine permanent pen to add a few 'wood' lines. It will look great when you are done.
You saved me! We had a burnt countertop and now you can barely see a scratch. One thing to note is that for the hard wax to work, there has be be a little bit of depth in the hole. I had to dig a little to allow more wax to be applied. I also had the problem of a black burn mark and used a white tile grout stainer helped to lighten the stain. Came out perfect, thanks again!
Wow amazing repair job! I never knew how good a repair could look. But you have to be very patient and artistic to match it to surrounding. The difficulty is almost if not to the point of difficulty of an actual all out replacement. So instead of going through all of this, I think I'll decide to better prepare for all out replacements instead.
I have used many different repair systems and I have one of these, easy to use I get good results when ever I use it, I'm originally Schooled by Mohawk the leaders in the industry and I approve Picbello kits!
Wow, this is probably the best work I’ve seen, but you have so many specialized tools and artistic capability that I don’t have, great job though! Impeccable!
My laminate floors thankyou ,ive been trying to figure out how to fix the deep scratches that start from my kitchen to the living room, looks like i will be busy for a while.
What do you do if you get a dark or light colour if seen from a different angle? I’ve attempted to fix a problem like this one but I notice that on different angles and light it’s a solid dark or light patch. Any advice on this?
we had a dark burn mark that shown through the hard wax. What I had to do was make the hole deeper and used a white tile grout stain marker to lighten the burn color.
The end result, didn´t get it perfect on close inspection. And I didn´t go and mess around with it, because every layer is harder to stick on top. How it looked? I was standing up to stretch my back and going back to the job I started to scratch a random spill nearby:P Yes, I know where the 3 scratches of size 1-2mm wide and 2-7mm long are on the parquet, but from distance I can´t spot them up. The mistakes I made: 1. I had cheap parquet and the top layer is light in colour BUT the base is dark. I wen´t with the instructions on the video and went with lighter base, now the dark shines through the lighter coloured wax. 2. For the finishing lines, you have to notice how the instructor only dips the wax sticks and the surface with the heating stick. I went all in and managed to apply huge blobs as "finishing touch". Luckily it´s a wax and it comes out with applicator. Some places of the cheap parquet are already curling up and have some dents from "natural aging" and they are more noticeable. So I´m happy with the end result.
Premium Kit has large variety of colours. I only used 4 of the lighter yellowish but the palette went to (almost) black. You can check out the premium kit. Though I don´t know if I need the included wood oil. Never knows...
I am also looking for this set in DK, but can't find it. I think i will order it from here www.picobello-shop.eu/productdisplay/premium-reparatur-set or on ebay.de / ebay.co.uk
”Bαzοmο Tdy Plαn” (Google it) is a fantastic book about woodworking. I took various classes as well as completed a one year diploma in carpentry at a local tech college; this is better than any book I worked out of during those lessons. It explains everything about woodworking as well as complements it with helpful photos. .
DISLIKE 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Darn, you are the best I have seen repairing damaged wood floor cleanly.

Just bought this kit, Very good tutorial. I chipped my oak laminated worktop. So now have a great explanation on how to do it.
Hey. Where did you buy it from?
That looks spot on but I would make a mess of it, I was looking for an easier option. I'm off to buy a rug.
Great idea. Let the second owners deal with it
@Elijah Harry cringe
@Otis Aden super cringe
@@nationalenquirer1926 I am a second owner and now dealing with it.

Very nice work. I wonder how durable the fix is?
Awesome 👍🤘🤘
Is it waterproof? What happens when you have to wash the floor?
If the hole is a bit bigger (half a golf ball) would you bulk it up with filler first before using the wax to finish?
that is a work of art
Thanks for this video. Was a good help!
What is your name of material for retouch for laminitide ty.😊
How long will a repair generally last?
How to you remove the wax residue sheen ? My floor is mat but now has a shiny patch from the wax where the repair took place?
Great instructions! Thanks
Can you use rechargeable NiMH batteries with the heater? It says 'not use NC-Accu' on the handle, but I fail to Google an explanation for that term.
Will this work on my stretch marks?
is this a kit one can purchase?
How do I approach minor scratches that go across the grain on a variegated laminate floor?
Bravo merci
Hello there I came across your video, as I have repairing to do, am I able to mop the floor over that, wood the wax melt off at all?
The lacquer coat at the end would probably prevent that from happening
@@johnnyrico3763 so that's a no
My kit didn’t come with a lacquer pen, is the last step necessary?
Can u buy more colors?

Or, maybe I could just replace the board? Just a thought.
I think that is advice for renters like me that want to get their deposit back

Not a very good job, the scratches are still visible.Gave you a like for effort.
