Bold and thought provoking. Not often I hear attempts to dismantle classic tenets of strategy. Very engaging.

A good comment on Centre of Gravity could be described by the Military Maxim "Reinforce strength and not weakness."

Is there a way to sign up for a class or college study where one can focus solely on war strategy?
(Since I do not live in america, if there is an online class, I'd love to hear about it. But I suppose if I must, I'm not glued to the spot. *Laughs* American colleges cost money tho, don't they? Anyway. I'd love to hear any and all options. ^^)

Ahhh, that age old flaw. Politicians who think themselves Generals and Generals who think themselves Politicians.

Just like King Agrippa said to the apostle Paul:...."much learning doth make thee mad'. 👎

"My concern is too broad a definition of vital interests which risks staking American credibility on matters that are not essential and in areas where it can be difficult to get your way." Ukraine, anyone? Collapsing the economies of our closest allies and squandering out military hardware and tax dollars with one of the world's most corrupt regimes is not a matter that is not essential. We are essentially at war with Russia, who legitimately sees Ukraine as a strategically vital border state, in order to cover up a corrupt money laundering scheme by a two-bit political crime family. The filthy lucre of the Biden's and their chewish puppetmasters are not a strategic interest of the United States.
