    I tore my acl 3 times in high school, and for me, the mental recovery is so much more difficult to overcome. After the reconstruction, every time you cut or pivot, you are wondering if your knee will buckle, no matter how much pt you’ve gone through. I like the fact that chuba and miles will be there to keep the seat warm for him until he’s ready.

    • @UBSportsTalk

      You nailed it. I tore mine as well. Not contact. It’s all about building that trust back up on yourself

      @@UBSportsTalk Maybe like Arian Foster-probably doesn't have the same raw cutting ability as Foster bc his was rare, but Foster was a bigger slashing back who could hit home runs without great long speed.

    Very recently some new techniques for repairing ACL tears have come to fruition. Brooks is already running, I hope he got the latest and greatest Bridge-Enhanced ACL Restoration implant; I'm sure Jerry Jones made sure he got the best of the best! 🤣

    From what I've seen he seems to want to get north as quickly as possible. The clip around 12:40 really highlights that, he could have bounced it out wider but he planted his foot and got vertical. That's a beautiful trait to see, especially in a rookie. Also seems as if he's as agile as he is fast. Might explain why he doesn't seem to have another gear or that he's at max speed from go, he runs very smoothly
    Was waiting to see if the last clip had made it into the video and it did. Watching his highlights after he'd been drafted, I kept rewatching that run specifically. For him to have the ability to dead leg two defenders in as smooth a motion as he did, SPLIT between said defenders, all while maintaining his balance and speed. That's what separates the CMCs, Kamara's, Henry's from the Foremans and Chubas. That's what separates great from good

    • @sickofguysnamedtodd2293
      @sickofguysnamedtodd2293 6 месяцев назад

      The way he talked of him, sounds like a poor man’s Terrell Davis. Not the biggest or fastest but big and fast enough, good vision and cutting ability but could still break the long ones if needed and can also nickel and dime you to death as well. Kind of an 90’s old school control the clock kind of back.

    • @UBSportsTalk
      @UBSportsTalk  6 месяцев назад

      Burst and acceleration are more important to break chunk runs and being able to make someone miss allows for more chunks.

      @@UBSportsTalk yeah I’m not saying anything negative about him. I was actually hoping we got him. I was happy as hell when I found out. I’m saying the home run speed isn’t that big of a deal. He will get caught on some long runs but he’s still getting the long runs and JStew and CMC were both like that. Having a good bit of long runs that get stopped somewhere down the field are better than having all the speed in the world with no vision or elusiveness
