The pros make it look easy but in reality, it's incredibly difficult. If just one thing about your technique is off on a shot, you will hit the shot out or in the net. As a recreational/club tennis player myself, I have personal experience lol.

He has a good backhand for sure but I feel confident Nadal's two hander is second to Djokovic. Nadal can do way more damage with his backhand. Zverev has a powerful backhand but not much variety in it (spin, short angle). Something Nadal and Djokovic both have.

Here you can see that both players are using circular rotation, NOT linear momentum, to strike the ball with power and efficiency. Producing a good tennis stroke is only possible with a circular swing path, not some imaginary linear swing path introduced by many coaches that does not exist! Forget about misguided beliefs such as "brushing the ball," "hitting through the ball," "moving forward," and the "windshield wiper" as many coaches falsely suggest. Focus solely on striking the ball with a circular rotation and swing. They are pushing their legs very fast off of the ground while keeping their torso and arms relaxed, and this generates the thrust that allows them to swing the racket quickly and forcefully. In essence, the legs/hips are the only engines of the tennis stroke, and the torso and arms are merely followers. Meaning, the movement of a member of the "kinetic chain" is forced only by the preceding member of that chain. The thrust of the legs/hips forces the torso to rotate, and the rotation of the torso forces the arm to swing freely and quickly.

"Hitting through the ball" implies a linear swing path. We are definitely capable of doing this, but it requires much more effort and less efficiency, so why would you? Linear means that you are pushing the ball, which does not give you anywhere near as much power as a circular swing. By explosively using your legs/hips to thrust the torso into rotation, it forces your arms to swing freely on its own, thus naturally forming a circular swing path. "Brushing the ball" is a terrible way of explaining how spin is produced. Spin is produced by the point of impact of the ball at a point above (topspin) or below (backspin) the center of mass. Friction has less to do with it than this. On your topspin shots, you are still striking the ball, as you should be. The angle of your swing path would be dependent on the trajectory of the incoming ball. For slice however, you are simply deflecting the ball by absorbing the opponent's pace. Still, think of your typical groundstrokes (forehand, backhand) as striking the ball!
firstly, its the camera angle that does not allow you to see either how they hit through the ball or brush it. secondly, the advice of your coach depends on the actual student and his personal mistakes. you should not compare yourself to these top pros, they use everything, the rotation, linear momentum, and the wrist follow through to the max. so if your coach says you need to brush the ball then most likely you hit flat strokes etc so the best thing you can do is to try your best to do what the coach says and not to try to prove him wrong by watching youtubes )
this may be an unpopular opinion, but i kinda like sacha he has a solid play style and he doesn't seem to be a bad guy. I know that he is a bit of a narcissist, but we all have our flaws, right? even djoker showed a temper on court earlier in his career.

No, Zverev used a Youtek speed mp that had a head which the gravity line was inspired, he uses something similar to te gravity but more customized and more weight prob. On the other hand Novak use a 95 head, 18x19 pattern and really heavy spec. Most players don't use the same model or specs as the paint job shows.
