Turbo up to 2.8GHz sounds pretty decent, especially without cooling! It seems like it would be more than capable of supporting all the programs I use, considering my current one manages to and it's truly awful. I don't see why it wouldn't do video editing, unless you only mean the big boy software like SV and Premiere? Either way, this was helpful in making my decision to grab one of these. Thank you!

It is a little bit outdated already, but it still holds the leading position. All other laptops under $400 have either a dual core Celeron processor or the newest generation Intel core i3-1115g4, which is about 20-30% slower than the AMD I suggested. It is capable of editing 720p and 1080p videos, but I’d recommend to upgrade RAM as soon as possible up to 8 or 12 GB total. The first candidate is Acer Aspire 5 ( amzn.to/2Z5Yogl ), which is currently at a discount ($360 instead of $399). It has a little bit outdated, but still great CPU from AMD - it is a quad core AMD Ryzen 3 3350U. Pretty much every other laptop at this price point has only 2 cores and lower frequencies. One more amazing thing about it is the integrated graphics chip, which is AMD Radeon RX Vega 3. It's capable of running Saints Row the Third with medium graphics settings and 1080p resolution at 50-55 stable FPS. Need more FPS - just lower the graphics settings a bit. As I remember it has upgradable RAM, so I'd recommend to install additional 8 GB RAM stick to boost your laptop's performance even further. And the 2nd option is HP 15 Laptop ( amzn.to/3Ep3sfY ), which is rocking the same CPU, but it's more suitable for photographers. It has a built-in SD-card reader, which Acer Aspire 5 doesn't. Hello! You can install these games via steam, but before that you’ll have to switch from Windows 10S to regular Windows 10, because 10S only allows you to install Apps from Microsoft store. It’s very easy to switch and will take no more than 10 minutes. But in terms of performance, you can play most very old games with it.
