Welcome to the world of Chevy Luv's. Good thing you have AAA. I would pull the valve cover off and see if the rockers are moving when you crank it. Parts are a little scarce but try Rockauto first and then eBay. I'm down in Hot Springs and have a parts motor if you need something. 👍
Hey thanks! Fixing it is going to be a little more complicated because it's in Arkansas and I live in Alaska. I had to fly out before I had a chance to diagnose it any more than what I did in this video. When I come back down in the beginning of April is when I hope to get it driving again. I found some oversized pistons/rings on ebay and some other parts on rockauto, the plan is to pull the engine and take down the block myself, have a machine shop bore it to the new pistons, and put it back together myself with new bearings, seals, and a new timing kit. I'm hoping the top end is okay because I'd rather put off a top end rebuild for now, but I'll have the machine shop check that the valves are sealing too.
I love these little trucks. Wish they were still being manufactured today. A small truck with a 4 cylinder engine is all ya need, great gasoline mileage, easy on the tires, everything about these little truck are fantastic as you can haul a moderate amount of supplies when needing to landscaping or remodeling within your home. This truck is beautiful looking here.
It's not just the weight of the wheels but the diameter changes the gearing. It's like trying to drive in too high of a gear. Unless the differential gearing was changed at the same time it's going to make it a lot harder for the engine to turn the wheels.

@@musubk Cool, it sounds like you have a plan. If you get stuck on anything HMU. 👍
