I was really interested in the Evos and demmed them recently with other speakers including Focals, Triangles and the Lintons. Gotta say the Evos were a huge let down due to their surprising lack of bass and odd upper mid emphasis, a very strange sonic signature. The Lintons were lovely and warm but couldn’t image for shit. The Triangle Lyrrs, which are huge speakers, also lacked bass weight and had a harsh treble. Needless to say I am still looking.
Take a listen to the monitor audio 300 gold👌 But as the guy above me just said. Be sure to have a minimum 150W rms amp. But i suspect that you allready know this, since you are looking at those kind of speakers. But i am surprised that people sometimes buy "expensive" speakers and think it will be ok to drive them with a 2x50 or 80W Amp😲.... If the speakers have a 150W rms at 8ohm you should NEVER go below that value on the amp, i would recomend 2x200 or more Watt rms 8ohm on the amp. Or else you will get crappy sound out of the speakers, and very soon damage the coils in the elements😥 Absolute rule to get the real sound out of the speakers, is to NEVER go below stated speakers rms on your amp. If you do, it will not matter if you buy a 300,000$ pair of speakers. It will sound like a 60$ Amazon DYI speaker kit😂 Well, not really, but you catch my drift👍 But seriously go find some Monitor Audio 300 gold, OR Platinum if you can afford those. Seriously big bang for the buck, atleast on the gold ones. Or maybe a pair of Heco La-Diva👌

They need an amplifier from 150 watts. So I'm thinking about changing the amplifier now.
