We just bought a Telluride SX Prestige with the Nightfall package. It’s everything described here and it drives like a luxury vehicle. My Buddy paid 78k for a Mercedes GLE350 and it has very few options with a 4 cylinder engine. After driving both, the Telluride blows it away imho. It is such a smooth driving vehicle and will even steer itself on highways. Best car buying decision we’ve made yet.

We just bought one. The attention to detail rivals what I’ve seen in the labeled “luxury SUVs.”
Super quiet ride and barely have to press the accelerator. Big fan of the raised touchscreen. The thing is gigantic. Most of these trims you see are going to run you $50k. Not sure how many our out there at that base price but these things are in high demand and there were 3 buyers on the lot all trying to drive off in the same one. These hold their value so much that used models are almost the same as a new model.

Agreed. The Kia and Hyundai dealership experience is just god-awful. It’s so rare to have an even “ok” experience in my area. Then again, we live in Florida so we’re not dealing with the “crème de la crème” if you know what I mean. These are hard-working working-class stiffs with poor English skills. Can’t be helped. That’s most of the sales people in most entry-level brands. What are ya gonna do, right?

Couldn't agree more. All-electric brands can do DTC by law and likewise with dealershups. It's all political lobbying because I think majority of people no matter political side would agree with you. People forget dealerships are mostly privately owned/franchised and NOT from the manufacturer themselves. They're an expensive middleman. As far as the manufacturers, their vehicles are already considered SOLD when the dealerships buy them. These MSRP markups need to stop, its highway robbery... but people keep biting the carrot and don't like hassling with well trained sales staff and give in. If no on paid the high markups, no one would be charging them. There is no such thing as a "pretty good deal" paying anything above MSRP.

I have a Kia carnival and one of the most ingenious things about that new symbol is that it grabs the eye and most people want to know what does it mean, and so when I tell them that it means "Kia" they are like "oh my goodness I did not know" and they're even more interested in the brand so in a way of marketing is actually genius.

The old KIA logo always had me thinking of the time KIA's designs were inspired by Ford models. Even the logo seemed very similar. I believe the change in the logo comes at abright time now that KIA is establishing its own identity, for good or bad, as proven over the last years. The Telurride, EV6, K5, and the Carnival are the best examples for me. I think the Sportage has an amazing interior, but the front end does not match the rest of the design and it will not be even close to becoming a classic like the Telluride will be. The old Sorento seemed more practical to me, the new one has some quirks that I just can't pass (front end, the "shark" chrome accent behind the second doors, and although the interiornis not bad, it seems to be inspired in somenoldncars from the 70's. The current KIA Soul gai!ed points in the interior but for me the front and side profiles do not look as good as the previos model.

times have change. KIA doesn't have to undercut their competition on pricing as much since there is demand for this car. I can only imagine what the dealer mark up may be for this car...

I ordered a 2022 SXL in July 21 and took del in Nov 21. The price was 56k Canadian and that was it. We dont see the markups here in Canada on the price. And there are no deals. Cant negotiate on a car that isn't in production. Price didn't scare me off. Will look to trade within 2 years to see what it brings. Great car.

By definition, a crossover combines the attributes of a car with that of a truck. Unfortunately almost all crossovers are more car than truck, the only exceptions being the Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ford Explorer which shares their engines and transmissions with their truck line

@Damilola Akanni idk this thing doesn't look like a car. From purely a marketing/consumer pov I've understood it to mean car mixed with SUV. Though I can see what you mean if car and suv are technically the same in ths context
