Hi Kate I’ve been using mine for a few months now the mobile fitting was first class the guy treated my bike as if it was his own removing parts very carefully the process was done in around 40 minutes and he even went through the app with me explaining different options like garage or Ferry mode etc. The unit has very little impact on my lithium battery and the tracking is extremely good giving exact road names and locations and speed if required and it’s been excellent system and peace of mind I’ve recently had a friend use my bike for a week and the ability to see points on route speed if engine running parked up and even updated mileage has been 100% perfect it’s a fantastic piece of kit and worth every penny for peace of mind 👍
Hey Everyone, the link will be inactive as this video was posted 2 years ago and I am not longer sponsored by datatool 😊 information in this video is still applicable
Good explanation of the process Kate, also in you pointing out to separate the fob from your key bunch, I have not been doing that, will do now. I have been very happy with mine as you said got BMW to fit. Found alerts come almost instantaneously. I have learned a couple of things from your wiz through app actually that i was not aware, cheers. I found out its ideal to adjust the alert sensitivity as personally where i live its very often windy and with the bike under a cover it was setting alert off if strong gusts. Have a good weekend.
I had a S5 fitted to my bmw 1250 gs it was stolen from outside my house and the tracker was removed in less than 2 mins, great tracker but if the approved fitter don’t put it somewhere which takes a bit of effort to find or get to its a waste of time and money, 2 abus disc locks and a Oxford chain all dealt with in minutes. All that’s left is a tracker with what looks like mastic on and 2 disc locks with 3” of brake disc attached. So my question is who is at fault? Should the fitter be making more effort to hide it?? Because I don’t believe the 96% return or find rate at all.
Brilliant kate im just in middle of buyjng a new bike they doing a great deal on this on new bikes so thought are do some homework on it and suprise suprise your vid poped up great and thanks for the info great bit of kit. 😊

Nice video. This product worked great for two years then failed, drained the battery. Dealer has had two goes to fix the problem and failed! Datatool are clueless as is the dealer. To go on my bike touring holiday I had the thing disconnected and the bike was fine. Fit one of these things to your bike if you want but don’t be surprised if one day your battery is flat!
Hi thanks for the video very good information. I have a question for you. i have installed on my honda forza 350 2023 THE DATATOOL STEALTH S5. I would like to know if I install DATATOOL EVO PLUS will I have a problem with the battery? thank you
Hi I have this tracker and I've set up the emw alerts with my phone number but if I have my tags in my house and I'm playing around with the bike I don't get any alerts
Have this fitted on a bike I share with my son. It works probably 90% of the time but ours isn't perfect. If I track him while he is on a ride I find the unit has lost signal sometimes. The app will show a point and say last updated x minutes ago. And thats it. No further updates, to ability to see where he is. Generally he will ride past the window, park the bike up and I'll check again and he is apparently still miles away. Once he was riding at 33mph in the same spot for 4 hours! Have phoned support several times - every time they say they will flash a new update to the unit. Still not fully sorted. I think when I phone next time they might send someone out. Will update with my findings.
Hi Great informative video - I have a Stealth fitted to my bike but am contemplating a change of bike - do you know if you can swap a datatool stealth to another bike and change its registration and would a dealer be able to do this or does it require datatool engineer to make the change?
Kate, this may seem like a stupid question, but you state BMW bikes are normally fitted by the dealer, and yet Datatool fitted yours at home, did you mean just new bikes? I got mine as it was fitted when I brought the bike (BMW), and have to say it’s really good. After owning it for a year, I’ve just paid for another three years subscription.
Thanks for the vid Kate. Can you please tell me what is the range the fobs need to be away from the bike to trigger a warning/alert? I've recently bought a bike with one of these already fitted........but need to get my arse into gear and get the owner details changed over to me!!! Doh!
Is there any reason to separate tag from keys if bike is keyless. All in pocket anyway. And how far does tag have to be from bike before notifications. Mine was taken away by insurance with keys obviously never had any notification. Can see where it is on app.
Are these interchangeable between bikes? i.e.. if I sold my bike, could I get the tracker removed and fitted to my new bike, or would I need a completely new tracker and account?
Hello there I was just wondering if you know how to put in the app my MOT due date and my tax due date as I’ve looked everywhere and I cannot find how to do it. If you don’t know that’s fine I will get in touch with Datatool. thank you for reading my message.

Great vid. The code doesn't work anymore, is that correct? Secondly as is r1200gs for me too I'll be going to dealer...do they add anything extra for fitting ?
Hey! I've just tried it and the code has been applied successfully. If you go through Datatools website (or ring up and quote Usernamekate for discount) the fitting is included. Hope this helps!
Sounds great! The only thing is, can I afford it? Can I afford not to have it? Need to have a think. Oh by the way, when is a door not a door? When it's a jar. Get it? (Kitchen door) I'll get me coat.

Yes but how much would your insurance go UP if an unprotected bike got nicked? Plus when bikes get stolen it mostly goes in a van taken away and stripped for parts. If it did get roasted as you say and smashed up then your insurance would pay. But that’s when your premium goes up so without being rude there is no logic in your argument!
