How come they use chains on the front drive axel ?
U would think they could use straps and not scratch the axel paint.
They make straps plenty strong to hold that axel up. Plus they are easier to store and tote around then chains are.

Hi need some solid information on this business specifically because I'm with an OTR van carrier in CA and we just bought 20 sleeper tractors that now need to be moved from SC to CA. I know nothing about this stuff because up until now we ordered just brand new trucks from Freightliner so they would always have them delivered. We did get a quote on transport from the dealer we purchased the 20 units from but it seemed high... VERY high so I'm searching anywhere I can for options and/or different ways to get this done because 20 x very high equals WAY TOO MUCH. I'd even use my own driver if someone else can take care of the decking/undecking. Basically anything besides paying what I believe is a ridiculous amount. I'd really appreciate any info you can give me. Thank you
