I have to say I love this tutorial! I'm a bit over the gear demo culture on RUclips, time to focus on music creation!

Thanks :) - there's so much to explore in Ableton that I don't know if I will ever do gear. Plus I have a self imposed ban on gear, you realise after a time that gear obsession prevents you from creating more than it helps.

Thank you, pleased you like them. I try and go for a more relaxed style, I'm not a fan of shouty videos myself.

I still need to look at his cybernetics side, kind of plays into the other things but it's a different way of looking at music creation.

cool video! you can take this up a notch, by using clip launching and have each clip launch a random clip depending on your settings.

I haven't experimented with that yet, I'll check out a few vids on it. I'm enjoying the randomising side of music so that sounds like it'll fit nicely with me.

@@musicprodstuff its a little confusing at first, but nothing too crazy once you get the hang of it. endless variations. You can automate within clips as well, so that each launched clip has different fx etc.

@@shinyisshiny7780 Nice. I think I remember seeing ned Rush do some of this, cue my research and look out for something on this soon :)

Loved it! Picked up a few tips. Two questions: 1) I might have just missed this, but you're playing the sample tracks in addition to the busses, right? I'm playing around with the opposite- that's a bit more my aesthetic. 2) No shimmer reverb? That's what I associate with this style.

Thank you. The tracks are all routed to the busses, so they only play through them. I like to do that so there's a place to glue them all together and control volume (I prefer it to grouping) - is this what you meant?
I know, I totally should have put a shimmer on this! Missed a trick with that :)

@@musicprodstuff That is what I meant. Somehow I missed your routing. Keep up the good work! What's next after Eno?

@@audiomorphism2723 I've got another Eno one to plan with his destroy and rebuild technique but someone pointed me towards The Caretaker which I want to try. Next vid I think I'm going to do some space ambient as I'm late to the party and only found the free NASA audio downloads this week.
