Traditional Japanese Kaiseki Course Meal at HOT SPRING INN ♨️|| [Izu, Japan] Ryokan Onsen Experience
• Traditional Japanese K...
LMAO at Amanda's reaction to Felix saying "freeballing"! That WTF look on her face as she looks down is priceless.
This brought back so many good memories of family trips to Japan. I love ryokans and onsens in the country. Everything just feels better and the food seems that much more ono. Mahalos for the nostalgic walk down memory lane!
Happy to take you along for our experience Barbara! 💕🥰 hope you can go again sometime♨️☺️
This looks utterly amazing. It looks so beautiful and romantic ❤it
Beautiful RYOKAN ONSEN ! Kaiseki Course Meal Amazing ! I LOve the Hot Spring Inn! Mahalo for sharing you two ! Amazing Vacation !!!
It was so relaxing! Mahalo for tuning in today! 🤙
Nice content you two…I love touring Japan and this brings back great memories for us.
Mahalo! 🤙
That looked so relaxing. A great change of pace from the other places you went to.
Yes! It was a much needed break in between the hustle and bustle! 🤙
Wow the place is so amazing. So peaceful and quite. I can see how relaxing the hot spring . Their foods look so yummmy too. Enjoy and have fun. Thank you for sharing.❤
Mahalo for watching! 🤙
the breakfast looks amazing
So good! 🤤
Yay, more Japanese content! Some of my favorite memories are from a ryokan, and the amazing food served there. And I well remember that "almost comatose" feeling of being so relaxed after an onsen. 😆 My favorite soaks were in the rotenburos -- waterfalls, colorful maple leaves, snow falling....it's just sooo beautiful being out in nature! *sigh* Loving watching your journey and living vicariously through you guys! 🥰
Ryokans are the best! So magical when the snow is falling 🥹 awww!
I remember the tatami smell so well. As soon as Amanda mentioned it my mind went back decades to Hongwanji.
Wow Hongwanji! 🙌
Amanda & Felix...A beautiful experience for a beautiful couple. You both deserved it! Fabulous & mahalo for sharing. Domo Arigatou Gozaimasu.
Mahalo for your kind words 🥰🤙🏻
Wow, the onze qater looks relaxing 🎉
It was definitely relaxing! 😬
Hi Amanda and Felix! Love you guys!
Aw Mahalo! 🙏🤙
I love how traditional Japanese this episode was. That looked and felt very Japanese. I would love to go with you guys to help us navigate Japan. It looks like so much fun. 🤙🏽❤️🇯🇵🍱
This one was traditional as it gets! Mahalo for tuning in Armando! 🤙
"Free Ballin"? LOL! TMI!. And when the both of you just came out of the onsen another classic LOL!(you both looked like you were ready to pass out bcuz you were so relaxed). Private onsen in room is the way to go(I won't bocha with other dudes). And that breakfast looked awesome!(makes you wonder what dinner would have looked like?). Another great Japan Adventure from both of you! Thanks for the ride...
Yup private room! 👍Mahalo for coming along! 🤙
Let's Go Foodie Ohana 😋
Let's get it! 🙌
I love this traditional experience and the view was so breath taking!
Mahalo Pat! 🤙🤙
I found your channel through TabiEats. This looks like a really lovely place. We may return to Japan in a couple of years. Maybe we will learn some Japanese by then, but jic, do they speak English here?
It was limited English but they had English menus 👍
Oh my that breakfast! Did it cost a fortune? Also, the two of you look very, very relaxed. I didn’t really understand what was going on with the baths though. Make/female areas or everyone in the same bath? So many pools you showed as well. I don’t quite know what was going on but regardless, looks amazing!
The add on was only $35 after conversion!😋 also the public baths are private reservations so couples, singles, or families can enjoy the bigger baths when it’s available, just gotta remember to lock the door 😆 lol
Love! Felix, tie your 👘 robe!!! 🤣
Awesome! Mahalo Judy 🤙🏻 btw we met your friends at 711 the other day!
@@AmandaFelixEats yes, she texted me the pic! Awesome!!!!
いい旅館だね〜。朝食も美味しそう🤤アマンダちゃん、浴衣は左側が上になるように着ないと死んだ人になっちゃうよ💦
あら😅💦間違えっちゃった!🙇♀️
Aloha 🌺🥰
🤙🏻happy aloha Monday!
What is the name of this ryokan? I am going June 2024 and wanna go experience kaiseki meal
I have that same samsonite luggage.
It’s been holding up so far 👌🏼
Dinner!!!! It's what I'd love to see instead....
Did u guys takeout?
We ate konbini! 😬
Looks like a really nice medium-level "affordable" ryokan (How much was it?) and especially for Izu during Golden Week, there didnʻt seem to be many other guests around, so you were lucky to have the onsen to yourselves. Maybe Japanese people are still cautious after the State of Emergency was lifted. And what a beautiful view and your own rotenburo (which you didnʻt use). I personally love the kaiseki dinners that are served in your room at ryokan, but the breakfast looked wonderful -- though probably too much for me to eat in the morning. The miso shiru, grilled fish (iwashi is sardine) and seasonal greens with shirasu and chawan mushi looked delicious, but the squid in fermented seafood organs sauce (shiokara) is one of those slimy "innards" dishes I donʻt care for at all. Iʻve stayed at more "lower-end" onsen with friends in the busier areas of Izu for Japanese tourists, but I like the more secluded area and nature of the place you stayed at in Higashiizu. Afterall, Japanese people usually go to onsen on short trips to unwind, soak in the baths, eat, drink, and socialize with their travel mates. This ryokan looks like a place Iʻd like to visit.
This onsen was definitely very relaxing! We wish we stayed for more than just 1 night and truly unwind!
I would love to do this but i feel like I will have a hard time with communicating
They do have English menus as well 👍
what month was this video filmed?
In May 👍
Amanda, do you speak or understand Japanese?
The view is amazing!
Yes! I can speak and read 😬🤙
That's cool
I remember in one vlog you mentioned what your ethnicity is, so I am assuming that you are Japanese
iwashi is sardines, the sqiud dish is shio kara (sqiud mixed with it;s liver and salt) aji is akule, suprised not to see a raw eggs which is pretty standard in Japanese breakfast. Its safe to eat japanese eggs raw unlike american eggs
Mahalo for the info! 🤙
How much per night?
It was about $300 a night after conversion 👍
I'm free free ballin
😂
