Awesome video. Although I visit Japan regularly (mostly Osaka) in October I will be visiting Tohoku for the first time in 30 yrs. My how times have changed. When I was there Lapia Mall in Hachinohe was just built and the nearest McDonald's was about 3 hrs away in Morioka. The nokke don place in Aomori is on my list of must do's. Can't wait! Keep up the incredible foodie vids....Mahalo

Hi guys. I’ve been following you for quite some time but I had never expected that you would cover my hometown of Aomori (i live in San Francisco bay area) Thank you so much for liking the kani miso in Hirosaki and apples. Aomori is also famous for good garlic too and they are expensive.
I found out recently (so late) but ramen noodle in the north is thick and curly and south like Hakata tonkotsu is thin and straight
No wonder i like thick and curly one cuz i am from the north 👍 cheers! Really good Japanese Amanada! 💪

@amandafelixeats Aloha Monday Foodoe Ohana! I like how relaxed the atmosphere is in Japan. You guys were speaking quietly and showing respect for the Japanese culture. I’m so happy y’all got to enjoy the cool weather since you don’t get much of it in Hawai’i. The contrast in Japan of old style buildings and new style concrete jungle makes the country interesting to see. It also shows us we should honor our past as we build the future. The pastries looked so good and homemade. Amanda made that coffee look delectable. The ramen place looked very cozy and the ramen warmed me up all the way over here. The cold mugs of beer are essential to balance the heat from the hot dishes. Mahalo for another wonderful experience with y’all. 🤙🏽☕️🍜🥮🗾🌸

How fun! Can't want to see the next episode. We moved to Tokyo from Oahu almost 18 month ago with two little girls. Im originally from Sapporo but my husband is from NJ, our girls were born at kapiolani hospital and loved living in Hawaii but realized so expensive to stay on the island and unfortunately decided to move to Tokyo. Don't you luv how there is no tipping here? We miss Hawaii but are happy here. All the food looks so good when you try and Amanda you must studied Japanese so much to be able to understand kanji. So impressive. Keep up the good work and we look forward to watching more japan episodes 😊
