I like to think that the name was originally going to be Ground Zero, but since all of the fanfic writers started using it they had to come up with a different name. And this is the best they could do on short notice.
I heard it was due to the negative imagery that comes with such a name. He felt it reminded people too much of the nuclear fallout after being hit with both atomic bombs and thus decided to drop the name. I could be wrong though.
The reason so many people latched onto Ground Zero was because Hori released it alongside a beta design for Bakugo's character. Meaning that, just like the beta design, that name had already been scrapped by that point. Imo it was never gonna happen.
wait, people don't like "dynamight"??? I personally think it's perfect because A) it's explosion boy we're talking about, of course some sort of explosion pun is needed B) it's also sort of paying homage to the number one hero who inspired him
It's because a lot of people latched onto his beta designs hero name of Ground Zero, which obviously, isn't great publicity given it's links to a certain small boy and obese man (not taking chances of getting flagged over using the actual names of the two sun's America dropped on Japan.)
2 Things: 1) This comic was absolute perfection! 🤣 And 2) I was kinda hoping his name was officially going to be Ground Zero, as well. I'm not sure if I'm ever going to get used to Dynamight, or everything else in his name...
You know according to google the Japanese have a huge fear of nuclear weapons. So Ground Zero isn't the best hero name. Though I suppose the information could be falsified or outdated since it was Google but yeah.
@@guardianofpeace6393 I know full well what it means and why kacchan calls him that. I have seen the anime and read the manga. I just agree with Izuku and ochako that it is a good hero name when taken in a different way than the original meaning and context.
Nahhhh dynamite is perfect for blasty-mcexplodes here. Haha. He is explosive and he looks up to All might. Moreover.. I love the fact that Katsuki doesn't mind being seen as an explosive person haha figuratively ofcourse!
I don't get why people hate Dynamight so much... I thinks it's cute and suits him. It pays homage to his explosion quirk and shows respect to All Might who he blamed himself for ending.
The reason I don’t like the name dynamight is because he’s a grenade not a dynamite stick, he has to change his whole hero design now or I won’t be happy

Ground Zero is literally so much better tho

@@themagicalandmarvelousgeek6132 okay I can accept that answer too.
I actually really like the new name although I do prefer ground zero

"Dynamight" is perfect for Bakugo.
Well, at least Bakugou admits he deserves it 😅

Ah yes, the name about Atomic Bombs going off, for a Japanese character. Great marketing.

Well america *did* nuclear bomb japan so....
Ya know if he scratched out the God then it would've been "Great Explosion Dynamight" IT WOULDVE BEEN PERFECT!!!
I....
I...
*Desperately trying to make a argument*
*Katsuki looking at him for help*
What how do you expect to beat....that
I love Bakugou's hero name Dynamight
Oh, says the guy who’s hero name is the nickname your bully gave you.
Hey. Deku is a great hero name.
@@silentshadow3894
Deku comes from ‘Deku no bou’ (デクの棒), which means ‘useless’

Ohhhh, ok
I love how on the board there is “Lord Inosuke”
I always imagined his name would be gauntlet grenade
That WOULD have been cool!
This was more satisfying than I thought it would be.

*Maybe I went a little too far...*
You think? Even after dressing up in your hero costumes to do it too. People could have heard, you know.💚
character development right there.
I love these comics. Keep them coming.
who else saw inosuke crossed out?
This seems more like a Freaky Friday comic dub. Deku being the a*hole to Bakugo is off putting and alarming
/LORD INOSUKE/
I can't even-
This Deku is manga Deku 📕🥦
This is pure GOLD.
“Lord Inosuke” is no one gonna talk about that 😂
I finally notice it too, oh gods! 🤣

Is no one gonna talk about how inoske was written on his hero names

I like DynaMight. I might be in the minority, but I never particularly liked Ground Zero.
I guess I’m in the majority
I loved the name ground zero 😭
dats not bad doe
Explosion hero, Dynamite.
I see lord insosuke
deku sound more like the older steven universe in steven universe futures
oh how the turntables
i thought this was gonna be the nips comic but this is great too
Technically the name bakugou is already a pun, so I guess it works?
i love it
The reason I don’t like the name dynamight is because he’s a grenade not a dynamite stick, he has to change his whole hero design now or I won’t be happy
I still like the head cannon that he choice it because he’s a bts stan
...I like Dynamight.
Hi
Lol
I would have gone with King nitro
🎄❄🎄❄🎄❄🎄❄🎄❄⛄
i thought it was a good name
I would have preferred literally anything else to “Dynamight” seriously. Even calling him “Sparky Sparky Boom Man” would have been an improvement
Deku wow
Should've name him Hiroshima or nagisaki.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It swapped aditude
was it me or did I see inosuke 😶
I like ground zero better, dynamight reminds me of all might’s name
