Fantastic! You know what's best, these are YOUR sheep, these are YOUR lambs. You are a wonderful Shepherdess. Plus I agreed 100% with what you said. 👍😀
NO ONE can say Sandi doesn't try her absolute best for her flock at ALL times! Even knowing the outcome is not in this lamb's favor, she spends additional money (this procedure is not cheap, especially with emergency visit charges on top!) and asks the Vet to try. This is why we love you, YOU ROCK SANDI!
This time you saved Betty and her triplets. Dang you are a super woman. I’m exhausted just watching your videos. Your energy is quite impressive. Great job.
I absolutely love when vets teach farmers how to do fairly easy procedures to save farmers from constantly going to the vet, because let's face it, animal's are like kids, they love making things difficult and getting into trouble. I love the symbiotic relationship. Great work Sandi!!! 💪
This vet is so patient and gentle! She does an amazing job explaining what to do and why. Kudos to you all for trying your best to save this little angelic lamb. Happy Easter.
I love this vet. She is the best. What a great teacher. She knows the value of having educated breeders. I think Vanillie will be ok. Go Betty, that's a miracle too. You do foster miracles. Great Job.
Oh Sandi thank you for going through the expense and trouble to show us little Vanillie's casting. And thank your Vet for allowing us to tag along to both see and *hear* her assessment. Above and beyond all around! Hey, the rest of you, I'm not sniffling, You're sniffling!😂👍
I recently discovered your page and quickly binged through Spring Lambing 2021. So much so that last night, I woke up in the middle of the night and found my cat just staring at me and the first thing to go through my mind was “he probably has preg-tox” 🤣🤣 I absolutely love you and your channel!
I just can't believe people think you don't Care about your Sheep and Lambs. You go above and beyond to save them. Your a Great Sheep Farmer. Peace from WV
Sandi, please remember this when people attack you about how you look after your sheep: if you were in this just for the money you would not even spend money to take the lamb to the vet. You have compassion for your animals and don't want them to suffer. We tend to remember the negative things about ourselves when others negatively criticize us and forget all the good things we do. It's easier to agree with and believe the bad things people say about us. So, remember this positive trait about yourself for those times...
I mean that's not necessarily true. Sandi even touched on this during the video. If vannili heals properly and she can stay it's worth it, if not perhaps not. It depends on how much the anesthesia x-ray and casting cost, weather the lamb survives and how much it sells for. But yes there cost to Sandi's soul if she has to put down a sweet lamb.
You have a WONDERFUL Vet there, first for letting you record her in action and for performing "Beyond Standard" treatment. You Almost have to keep Vanille so her lambs can help re-coup Vet bill!!
Sandi, you have a heart of gold, taking that little lamb to the vet. I know is not economical but you did it. Just love that gesture speaks very highly about your character 👌. Don't worry about negative comments 😉. Just love your video.
I’m pretty quick to cull personally. I learned an extremely painful lesson when I didn’t put my first pet cat down at the appropriate time. She was 20yrs old when she died. We had a strong bond built over many years. She had cancer. Everybody told me it was time but I emotionally couldn’t let her go. She suffered. A lot. And I will literally never be able to fully forgive myself for it. It’s the worst feeling in the world. A decade later and I still have immense shame and guilt. Some people will call it cruel but I’d rather say it’s a matter of perspective. Whether this lamb recovers or not I’m so happy that it will not suffer. That’s above all the most important
I am so sorry that you’re still feeling that you made a bad decision. I had to put my dog to sleep almost a year and a half now. The vet had already done 4 surgeries for him and this time she really didn’t think she could help him, so I let him go. I still blame myself and wish that I hadn’t done it. I still cry for him a lot, so you see no matter which way you go about it you always feel bad and second guess yourself!! You did what you could and that’s all any of us can do.
I had a cat for nearly twenty years. He was a real character with definite opinions. He really did not like cuddling in the least, but was always in the same room as m, and would sit on the couch beside me and comment on the TV shows. He slept on the foot of the bed, and took his duty of staring at me in the bath very seriously, to make sure I did not drown. Over a couple of days, when he was nineteen, he suddenly was not well. I took him to the vet and got a serious diagnoses. He could be kept alive for another year or so with pills and injections, but the vet said he would never really be comfortable. I thought I would fight as long as he wanted me to. About a week later, I could see he was hurting. He suddenly climbed up into my arms, looked me in the eye, then buried his head under my chin. Within two hours, the vet put him asleep in my arms and stopped the pain. Humans owe their faithful companions no less.
I'm finding myself really angry lately. That's not my normal but the political atmosphere here in the US is just getting to be too much. I've decided I need to refocus. Less news, more videos like this one and others I've found. Thank you Sandi. We all have good days and bad but what you do is real. I know you are not purposely trying to manipulate people. I need that right now.
I have felt the same way here in the US so I have totally cut the news out of my life and just watch stuff I want to watch here on RUclips! It has been so much better for my mental health and just over all me, to cut out all the negative and horrible things going on here in the US!!! Also I told my mom how I cut the news out of my life and just watch things that make me happy, so she did the same thing and she has found it so helpful for her also!!
Ms Sandi, you always side with compassionate care of your flock. What people have to understand it is the animal's pain and you sometimes have hard choices. Over the years, I have not seen you make a wrong decision. I'm so proud of you.👍👍
Hi Sandi. I just recently discovered you and I am addicted. You are such a compassionate, introspective person. You are best just being you! Thank you for sharing yourself with us. You are very much treasured. Debra
I totally get your theory on when to euthanize. I raise chickens and can always spot when one is struggling. I had a hard time in the beginning though of making the call to euthanize so some suffered because of my indecision. Now I can be at peace with ending it's misery if I know I can no longer offer any kind of help.
I am a retired Mother-Baby RN in NC and have been mesmerized by your videos! Since I stumbled on it last week, I have been glued to your channel! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?! Am loving all that I am learning 😁 You are a fantastic, compassionate sheep farmer. Remember that when those tough decisions come up and don't worry about the naysayers! ❤️🐑❤️🐑
Every day I look for you first. I don't know how many positive comments cancel a negative but I for one will add mine. You do an amazing job in a hard field (ok, barn)😄 Many blessings to you.
Started watching you this week. I'm exhausted just watching you. I am a retired nurse with no farming experience. I believe that all animals should be bred by people like you. I applaud your efforts, knowledge and kindness. Don't let the pessimists get you down!
Sandi, I have the utmost admiration for your compassion, level-headedness and dedication. You are just tops in my book and don’t listen to any naysayers that might crawl by! Cheers, girl! Jody 🇨🇦 Ontario
I cannot understand why people would be rough in the comments. I think you are just terrific Sandi. I am not a farmer and at my age I won’t be anytime soon lol. But you are such a caring person and literally try above and beyond to save your animals. I’ve been watching you for years and will continue!! ❤️❤️❤️
So glad you didn't have to put the little lamb down. She is gorgeous, one of the more beautiful lambs that I have seen. Plz keep us updated on her. Thank you Sandi ❤
Hi Sandi! I hope you were doing better today. I missed you. And of course I missed your lambs!!! Those who criticize do not understand. You are making rapid decisions one right after another all on your feet often very tired. You’re a strong woman. You go Gal! ♥️♥️♥️
She is an incredibly strong & smart woman. There's no way I could ever do even a quarter of the things she does daily. Not just because my bad fibromyalgia would prevent it. But because there's just too many hats to wear while doing it. Midwife, vet tech, nutritionist, tractor driver, dog trainer, herder, cleaner, teacher, role model, community leader, crafter, entrepreneur, website builder, videographer, video editor, camera person, model for women's work clothes and so many others I can't remember them. Ok maybe I remember more than I thought.
Sandi your an amazing farmer. Last year in April I got bottle babies and one got orf and needed to go to the vet and while I was waiting for him to be done I was waiting in the car and this girl said "You know u live in a small town when someone brings their pet goat to the vet"🤣🤣😂😂😂
Your resuscitator right at hand seems to help you save those lambs with fluid by immediately removing it. Good job, Sandi. We are rooting for your lamb with the broken leg. Thank you for putting so much love in your flock.
She's proved herself to be tough so far, maybe if the leg heals well she could become a replacement ewe and add those tough as nails genes to the flock.
In reality i want this but any broken bone that heal in time the break will get arthritis so i hope it lives a long life but i bet it will be meat in 6 months .
Why does she ? Pull the babies? Babies fluid on lungs if went more natural would possible not have as much fluid on lungs. I know nothing about this process. I am asking really wanting to be educated. Thank you for response.
Fab job, anyone finding fault in you needs to get a life, congratulations Betty, after last year you are a miracle along with all the others that Sandi and guys have helped along the way. Stay safe hunny xx
Wow Betty 3 lambs I didn't think she looked that big. See she's an inspiration for your hard work. Never give up. The successes are always fulfilling and an inspiration.
Had to pauze the video but what a good vet, assisting you through the procedure so you can do it yourself. It's always hard for a farmer, certainly for one with a compassionate level higher then the norm like you, to decide when enough is enough. You have to weigh the economical side with the compassionate side. Has hard has it is at the end you have to decide if the treatment costs outweigh the price you get at the market.
I can’t get enough of watching your videos... You’re one amazing lady with a heart filled with golden lambs... 🐑❤️🐑 You’re a blessing for us all who enjoy following your “production”... Thank you so much 😊 EMP
I do not understand why you bother about negative comments ... you know in your heart you have done what is best. We might not always agree but it’s your farm ... it’s easy to criticise sat in front of the fire with a phone in our hand but your the one out there doing the work ... if I was going to be a lamb I would hope I was one of yours !! You make the life they do have as nice as you can x
The explanation at the beginning shows what kind of person you are and I hope that all people who keep animals have a similar one - you put their comfort first
This is truly an amazing video. Your vet is absolutely amazing, patient, and compassionate. I love how you do everything you can to give your lambs and sheeps a fighting chance but also know that sometimes it is what is best for the animal and not about what you personally feel. Hopefully this little lamb heals quickly! Been rooting for this little one for her fighting spirit has captured my heart.
Sandi...I just wanted to comment that your channel is one of my favorites. I am a city girl through and through. I know ZERO about farming and truly never thought much about it, but somehow I came across your channel one day and have been here binge watching ever since. You are an amazing woman and I cannot explain how much I admire you. Like I said I know zero about farming, but the way you explain things helps me understand. Thank you so much for your hard work, loving your animals, and sharing your life with all of us. Again you are so amazing. I wish there were more people on this earth like you and your family. Your wonderful channel and also your beautiful soul have really shown me something I would have never been introduced to if not for you. Hold your head up high because I know you are inspiring young people with your work ethic and love for farming. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! P.S. I'm from a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio
Sandi you do everything you possibly can for the animals with in reason some times you cant save them and its the loving thing to put them to sleep if you can do nothing else. You are a good person.....
Great job trying to save Vanilli! I had a cat who had a break that high and couldn't be saved so it says so much that you have the compassion to try to save her. SO much respect for what you do! I found this post SO educational and fascinating. Loved seeing the vets in action. Blessings!
This was such an awesome video. Thank you Sandi!!! Was nice to watch the vet do the cast on little Vanilli!!! Thanks for sharing that with us!!! Betty and her little Boops!!! Lovely family!! My days are complete with Sandi and her Sheep!! I'm one of Sandi's Sheeple!!!
Sandi I do not think you should worry about what people say. First of all, you do all you can and you are a very loving, sympathetic, person to your sheep. Secondly, they are not there in your position and experiencing what is going on. That little lamb is sure a fighter and is so cute. Love your compromise. Have a lovely day.
Beautiful video Sandi, love the willing spirit felt from each of you. Agree with others who have commented about how gentle the DVM is, she sounds very compassionate, and enthusiastic about teaching! Love how she hacked the sleeves off her coveralls!😆 Following along your journey with this lamb will be cool! Thanks for taking us along, today & ALWAYS. I'm grateful for you!🌷❤️🐑
You absolutely did the right thing and justified the vet expense. You also explained your reasoning SO well. Not that you needed to, but you now will know in the future the right path to take when confronted with something similar. Most times, a little bit of expense is very justified for a lot of education!
After finding your channel quite recently and marathon-watching several of your videos, it is very obvious how compassionate you are about these sweet little creatures. You aren’t taking the decisions lightly! No judgement here...😌
Oh Sandi you melted my heart cause seeing you take that little lamb to the vet was just amazing!!! YOU ARE THE BEST AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING ALL THIS WITH ALL OF US CAUSE I COULD ONLY IMAGINE HOW HARD IT MUST BE FOR YOU TO TAKE CARE OF SUCH A CUTE ANIMAL AND THEN HAVE TO MAKE HARD DECISIONS!!!! So my heart and I hope my words help in some way for you, but you are amazing and whatever decision you had to make I am totally behind you (like I bet ALOT of us will be also)!!! 💗💗💗💗🐑🐑🐑🐑💗💗💗💗
How awesome the vet let you film this procedure, and gave an explanation of what was being done and why. That little lamb is such a fighter I am so glad she will have a chance to heal and grow. Warms my heart to see Betty have a successful birth. Thanks for letting us but in on your life. Farmers Rock !!
I say all the time I am grateful to my vets and the staff at the clinic we use. Some days I just feel like I'm always there but my vet always reminds me that it is stewardship of your animals and we always aim to do what's best even if we fail. Great video.
I have no farming background but It brought me such joy watching this. I love how caring and compassionate you are whilst you were helping deliver those babies. It’s so lovely to see ❤️
Sandi, I completely understand how things go on the farm. I hope that you can detach from the negativity. It’s one thing to give you tips, but it’s quite another to attack your character, if things don’t go the way they think they should. People can be great critics when they are sitting behind a computer screen and are not hands on at 4am.It would be such a shame to lose your vlog , because people who have no idea what’s really going on cannot hold their tongue. Keep up the good work my friend👍
Hi again SANDI Yay Betty! Can't forget her crisis before. Happy she's doing so good. Thinking that wrap/cast thing will do its job. Lamb is young and should heal pretty fast. Stabilizing the leg like that should be the best healing thing. Sure hope so. The lamb pen is just a riot! Hardly anything cuter. Keep getting good sleep when you can Helps facing tough things when not so tired. Thx as always for sharing. Easter blessings to you and the family...
Sandy, you've been taking care of these sheep way longer than most of your subscribers, so go with your heart. You can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time. You have to go with your gut feeling. You do great.
Lol who else had this channel recommended for no reason...but you have been watching this and falling in love !! This is such a beautiful addictive channel!!
You are such an amazing woman Sandi. You go so above and beyond the sheep Herders I grew up with. I always felt they had a cold heart. They rarely intervened with the lambs or ewes. I love watching your channel because of your heart. Thank You for all the time and effort you put forth with your animals and us.
lamb munchies and woobly pops...having yourself one heck of a Easter weekend🤣🤣 do enjoy it as much you can Sandi....you've been working hard and the little breaks are good for you😉💖

Priceless video! Can keep for review in the future. This is a business farm but also a learning experience for you. Worth the vet expense. And it shows how dedicated you are to the health and we'll-being of your animals.! My hat is off to you, my lady!
I am gobsmacked at the training available by JUST WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS!!! (I learned so much about horses when I hung out just watching others interacting with their equines, back when I didn't have a horse, eons ago.) Your videos are priceless! YOU ought compile them and market them as a program! (Beware of editors who will commonize your work, like trolls who criticize pointlessly.) Hat's off to you, Sandi Brock. I so enjoy learning what you have to teach! Ty!

I LOVE ❤️ 😍 that your Vet teaches also. You both are Glorious women. Thank you
I recently discovered your page and quickly binged through Spring Lambing 2021. So much so that last night, I woke up in the middle of the night and found my cat just staring at me and the first thing to go through my mind was “he probably has preg-tox” 🤣🤣
I absolutely love you and your channel!
Me too! I love her!
Oh that's hilarious bless your heart
Welcome to Ewe-topia! :)
🤣🤣
I’m laughing!!! That’s so real!
You took the lamb to the vet! My heart ❤️ You are such an amazing farmer!
It's lovely that you put so much effort (and presumably money) into trying to save the little one. And you learnt how its done too.
I just can't believe people think you don't Care about your Sheep and Lambs. You go above and beyond to save them. Your a Great Sheep Farmer. Peace from WV
Animal husbandry is not for the faint of heart! You are awesome and an inspiration! Thank you!
But yes there cost to Sandi's soul if she has to put down a sweet lamb.
loved listening to the vet's gentle voice and how she allowed the assistant and Sandi to learn
You've gone up and beyond for this lamb... your viewers must not realize that most shepherds would just move on. 😘😘❤❤❤💕💖
You have a WONDERFUL Vet there, first for letting you record her in action and for performing "Beyond Standard" treatment. You Almost have to keep Vanille so her lambs can help re-coup Vet bill!!
Thankyou
What a game changer the respirator is. Must make you so happy!
Poor Betty, she’s like I’m just too dang tired. Triplets, you go Betty!
Less news more ewes ! 😁🙏🏼
@@minnesotagal507
Perfect! Thank you. 😍
I too have felt the same.
I'm with you. No news, more ewes! 💖Love me some Sheepishly Me💖💖💖
Thank God you were there to help Betty and her babies. That one wouldn't have made it without you there. Such a blessing.
Debra
Sandi - Your 150% efforts come to the rescue again!! Your smile of relief says it all - a great day for Sandi and her flock! Happy Easter!
I totally get your theory on when to euthanize. I raise chickens and can always spot when one is struggling. I had a hard time in the beginning though of making the call to euthanize so some suffered because of my indecision. Now I can be at peace with ending it's misery if I know I can no longer offer any kind of help.
*Loving the “wobbly pops” and I’m officially borrowing it!*
*P.S. I love how you care for your animals...* 🙏🏻
What a fantastic vet, allowing you to film and explaining the process with each step.
What a GREAT 📣🎶📣 VET! TEACHES YOU HOW TO DO CASTING!!!
ok, that vet has the sweetest way of speaking... such a sweet voice and so calm when explaining things.
Super interesting to see the cast process like that. Fingers crossed for the little lamb.
@@Nirrrina ♥️♥️ I totally agree! ♥️♥️
In reality i want this but any broken bone that heal in time the break will get arthritis so i hope it lives a long life but i bet it will be meat in 6 months
.
I keep a roll of paper towels in my kidding box, too. The paper towels seem to grab and absorb the mucous around their mouths. It really does help!
Go Betty, triplets were a surprise there. Good luck Vanillie, if attitude counts, you will be fine 💜
I am a retired USAF RN. I wouldn't give those in the "peanut gallery" any never mind. Block them.
The explanation at the beginning shows what kind of person you are and I hope that all people who keep animals have a similar one - you put their comfort first
This Lamb is Absolutely Precious and Deserves a Chance at Life. The Repair made my Easter.🐣👍
All of your little lambs are so precious
You have a good vet for showing you how to do the cast for that little lamb hop it makes it
Sandi you do everything you possibly can for the animals with in reason some times you cant save them and its the loving thing to put them to sleep if you can do nothing else. You are a good person.....
Exactly!
You wonderful wonderful strong compassionate caring woman never apologise for who you are so proud of you
#VanilliStrong baby! ❤️🐑 Hang in there lil lambie. Yay! Betty is a mommy! Kudos to you for pulling Betty through. 🙌🏾
Great job trying to save Vanilli! I had a cat who had a break that high and couldn't be saved so it says so much that you have the compassion to try to save her. SO much respect for what you do! I found this post SO educational and fascinating. Loved seeing the vets in action. Blessings!
That vet is very patient and caring person!
Well that 23 minutes just flew by. I always feel sad when the video comes to an end. Good luck with that leg Vanilli - we are all cheering for you!
This was fascinating. How fortunate that not only was the vet ready to try but that she was also training so you got a bit of training too !
I'm grateful for you!🌷❤️🐑
That vet is absolutely fantastic and such a great patient teacher. It is so wonderful that both you and the vet are willing to go the extra mile.
I hope you do not get negative comments - you do more for your animals than most - this is defunately going the extra for this lamb. Kudos to you!
You absolutely did the right thing and justified the vet expense. You also explained your reasoning SO well. Not that you needed to, but you now will know in the future the right path to take when confronted with something similar. Most times, a little bit of expense is very justified for a lot of education!
Love a vet who teaches the owner! Go, lil lamb! It might have some atrophy that it can outgrow, but prognosis is good.
After finding your channel quite recently and marathon-watching several of your videos, it is very obvious how compassionate you are about these sweet little creatures. You aren’t taking the decisions lightly! No judgement here...😌
Hoping for a quick heal and then Vanille will be hopping around with all his buddies! 👍🏻❤️
That resuscitator/suction device has certainly paid for itself already! Yay!
Never any judgment I learn from you almost daily I have only 50 head and lambing is a tuff time. Thank you so much for all you do.
That's awesome you got to film them working on the lamb.
God Bless You.. I would have stood behind whatever decision you would've made...🐑💛💜💚🐑
Hi again SANDI
Yay Betty!
Keep getting good sleep when you can
Helps facing tough things when not so tired.
Oh no😭 my Billy was sick too, but theres still faith in you and that baby
Sandi you did the right thing ,
@@annsmith4739 Very true
You just keep being you girl , we love who you are and what your loving heart means !
Oh Sandi! Thank you for this! You're so sweet and genuine! I just love being a part of your beautiful life! Thank you so much!!
Oh what a blessing that the vet helped you and your baby. Please don't listen to the haters, no one cares for their flock like you do.
Fingers crossed for the lamb but, way to go Betty!
You are such an amazing woman Sandi. You go so above and beyond the sheep Herders I grew up with. I always felt they had a cold heart. They rarely intervened with the lambs or ewes. I love watching your channel because of your heart. Thank You for all the time and effort you put forth with your animals and us.
Sandi , your are a real trooper , thank you for caring for this lamb , you are remarkable , lamb is also , stay safe ! Bob
lamb munchies and woobly pops...having yourself one heck of a Easter weekend🤣🤣 do enjoy it as much you can Sandi....you've been working hard and the little breaks are good for you😉💖
Can I just say what an amazing lady you are, and how much energy you have. What hard work this is and thank you for making us aware of the dedication needed. I love the morning door opening and I'm addicted to your channel.
You are truly a beautiful woman, You have done nothing wrong, I agree with you and I don’t judge others and stand your ground.
Ty!
Sandi it is obvious you are a compassionate lamb farmer. Tough love
