We had an old mother cat who was a premium mouse. I've seen her being in three mice at once. But, she had three batches of kittens a year. She was an excellent mother. But when she got too old for kittens, she began bringing home strange newborns which she'd be unable to nurse, so of course they died. She actually belonged to our landlord who lived next door. We moved away, and final ly they had to have her put to sleep because the neighbors complained about her depredations.
