    Crochet Laptop Sleeve Pattern
    Materials:
    - Yellow (Y) yarn
    - White (W) yarn
    - Crochet hook appropriate for your yarn
    - Button and sewing needle
    ---
    Terminology:
    - SC: Single Crochet
    - DC: Double Crochet
    - SS: Slip Stitch
    ---
    Step-by-Step Instructions:
    Foundation:
    1. Create a chain to match the width of your laptop using Yellow (Y) yarn.
    2. Turn your project and locate the little bumps underneath the first row of chains.
    ---
    Row 1:
    1. Skip the first stitch and Single Crochet (SC) into the next stitch along the row.
    2. Continue SC along the entire row and around the bottom stitches.
    3. At the end of the row, SS into the first stitch to join.
    ---
    Row 2:
    1. Chain 3, then crochet 3 Double Crochet (DC) into the same stitch.
    2. Mark the first stitch of the DC cluster for reference.
    3. Skip 2 stitches, and in the third stitch, crochet another cluster of 3 DC.
    4. Repeat this pattern-skipping 2 stitches and crocheting 3 DC-until the end of the row.
    5. Continue the pattern around the other side of the project.
    6. SS into the first stitch to complete the row.
    ---
    Row 3:
    1. Chain 3, then DC into the space below.
    2. On the 3rd DC, stop before completing the stitch and switch to White (W) yarn using a slipknot.
    3. Crochet 3 DC into the next space, ensuring the (Y) yarn is above your hook while pulling through the (W) yarn.
    4. On the 3rd DC of each cluster, switch back to (Y) yarn, repeating the color change until the last space.
    5. Continue this alternating pattern around the project and SS into the first stitch (with (Y) yarn on the hook for the SS).
    ---
    Row 4:
    1. Drop the (Y) yarn and work with (W) yarn only.
    2. Chain 3, then DC 3 into the space below.
    3. Crochet 3 DC between each colored section (in the spaces between clusters).
    4. At the end of the row, repeat the pattern around and SS into the first stitch, bringing back (Y) yarn.
    ---
    Row 5:
    1. Chain 3 with (W) yarn, then DC 3 into the space below.
    2. On the last 2 loops of the 3rd DC, switch back to (Y) yarn.
    3. Continue alternating colors, repeating the pattern from Row 3.
    4. SS into the first stitch to finish the row.
    ---
    Row 6:
    1. Chain 3 and DC 3 into the space below.
    2. Drop the (W) yarn and continue working with (Y) yarn for the entire row.
    ---
Repeat Rows 3-6 until the sleeve is nearly as long as your laptop. You will add two additional rows to finish the sleeve.
    ---
    Row 7 (Finishing):
    1. SS into the first stitch with your preferred color.
    2. Chain 1, then crochet 3 SC into the space below.
    3. Carry the other yarn color underneath the project and repeat the SC clusters in each space.
    4. Once you have completed a few stitches, cut the unused yarn.
    ---
    Row 8 (Final Row):
    1. SS into the first stitch, then chain 1.
    2. SC into each stitch along the row.
    3. SS into the first stitch and cut the yarn.
    4. Use a needle to sew in the yarn tail.
    ---
    Row 9 (Button Closure):
    1. Find the center of the sleeve and sew in a button.
    2. Make a slipknot and chain until you have a chain long enough to wrap around the button (about 12 stitches).
    3. Attach the chain to the opposite side of the sleeve and sew it in place.
    ---
    Your project is complete!

Future me, did we finish it?
Update (1) 2hrs later: i can see the flowers but the flowers aren't flowering like they're supposed to flower (to chonky yarn maybe? Or messy stitches?)

    Reminder for myself
Row 3: start with yellow then change to white, keep switching
Row 4: keep working with the white yarn (drop yellow yarn)
Row 5: change to yellow and keep switching
Row 6: keep yellow yarn (drop white yarn)

Nice pattern! I used chunky yarn and a 4.5mm hook and I tend to crochet on the tighter side. I started out with 42 chains for my 13 inch MacBook Air. It fits perfectly. I am new to switching color mid-row, so I had to trial and error a bit to figure out where to hold each color yarn when alternating colors. Maybe a slow-mo/close-up shot of color switching would be helpful in your next video. Thank you so much for sharing!

At 4:45 it magically gets bigger.. what did I miss? Do you go around the corner by skipping two and double crocheting 3? I’m confused

@@unagi.10 she def did it on both. You can see the stitch marker was on the right side at the beginning of the row. You gotta do both sides for the stitch marker to be on the left at the end of the row.

between 5:42 and 5:46 your rows double and you are crocheting on two separate sides, this skips rows in the pattern. I am unable to follow this pattern

I am crocheting in round not in row. I skip it because I am still crocheting the same round and doing the same thing throughout the round. Hope this helps you🌈

The pattern may not be aligned perfectly if you used more than 2 colours. So I recommend just using 2 colours to get the best result🤍🎀

Hi! The sleeve may get a little bit tighter but it will get better after using it for a several times as the yarn will stretch a bit😇

How many foundation chains needed for a 15 inches laptop? Btw, i used 4mm needle for my yarn.

    • @ii.studiox
      @ii.studiox  Месяц назад

Hi, it is really hard to tell the exact chain number because it depends on what yarn and hook you are using, and how tight your chains are. I highly recommend you measure your chain to get the perfect length :)

What I don't get is how u get your yellow yarn at the end of the 4th row just below your last stitch can you explain pls am confused

    • @ii.studiox
      @ii.studiox  3 месяца назад

When I do the slip stitch with white yarn at the end of the 3rd row, the yellow yarn is brought up to the 4th row (by putting the yellow yarn above the hook 9:41). And at the first of the 4th row, the yellow yarn is dropped (9:56), meaning that it stays at the first of the row, so at the end of the 4th row the yellow yarn is just below my last stitch.
