    Thanks for the detailed views and explanations, especially the purfling corners!
    I haven't yet made a violin. I'm learning from everyone I can. Other makers have said to make the violin arching opposite the slab curves. I don't know the difference and am really interested to see how your violin turns out.

      @@Fireman9143 yes of course from a stability point of view, in terms of how wood actually works, it would make the most sense to have the growth rings opposite the arching curve...
      However as this violin is about learning new things we decided to go for the opposite!
      I'm sure I will talk a lot more about this in future videos!
