You're so right! I bought a new pocket camera, the Fujufilm X-T200 with a 27 mm pancake lens, so I always put it in the pocket when I drive my girls around. And then I stumble upon images all the time. Going for photo trips I don't have time to any more, but my portfolio still fills up, either when I drive my girls around, or when I wait for them.
Patience is a virtue. I know your feeling. Way back when I was photographing around Scotland I would spend hours in one spot waiting for the shot I wanted. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.
As a Bay Area resident and BW photographer I'm a big fog chaser as well, happy to see we all struggle with the weather out here! Although I would have bet good money on day 2 in SF being foggy, that's the typical pattern, heavy fog the day after it's been warm and clear. Next trip to SF try for August (aka Fogust). Better chances then on low coastal fog. Also winter is great for misty wet days higher up in the oak forests on Skyline to the south of SF. Cheers.
Be careful I read not long ago of a photographer getting mugged for his gear after shooting at the bridge. I am sure that won't happen but good to be aware of people watching you.
As you have said, there’s always an image to find. I’m fact I find that some of my best images actually find me!

Beautiful images...as always. :)
The coldest winter I ever spent was summer in San Francisco. Mark Twain.
That's right. After 4 days, the weather here cleared up. 🙂
Well done video, thanks for sharing.
You still got some great shots !!
