I have never seen a blue emerald!! I was very interested when Ian said it might have been ‘oiled’ - the use of cedar oil to fill minute cracks in emeralds in particular to make them appear flawless.
Many, maybe most, emeralds are oiled; significant issue is how heavily they are treated. Unlilke rubies and sapphires which should be totally untreated.
Dude i think your so awesome always trying to help and even exceeding your clients expectations not like those fools in Vegas always trying to rip people off.
The inclusions in emeralds are called gardens, and each is unique…they are used to identify the stone. The colour on this one is reminiscent or certain tourmalines, but not likely in an untreated emerald.🖤🇨🇦
Totally agree with you there - that does not look like an emerald. EDIT: oh it is an emerald. Rhodesian, huh…. Yeah it won’t sell if you are looking for an emerald.
The problem boats value goes down very quickly and they are expensive to run and marinas are very expensive. I never understand why people have boats and can't afford to run them
Most make up will come off most surfaces. There are whole RUclips channels dedicated to designer bag and shoe refurbishing. It’s amazing what can be done.
The sad part of these shows is, that the current generation of so many family's is unable to accumulate wealth, like their parents /ancestors where able to do.
I think you would still want to be careful with how you treat one's handbags. Lipstick I consider would ruin a handbag and it's value. Want to trade one in and get a good price one should at least make sure it is in good nic and clean
I buy emeralds and I would not look twice at that off color emerald. Maybe it's just my preference to not buy anything treated . I wrote this before the analysis.
Straight swap for those two fashion handbags? What was that mates rates? How does the deal look on the books,it must show as a loss, Does James know what is going on?
WHY ON EARTH WOULD HE WANT TO SELL HIS BEAUTIFUL EMERALD STONE 🌏 JUST 💰 BECAUSE HE WANTS TO BUY PRESENTS 🎁 FOR ALL HIS FAMILY AND RELATIVES…CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME 🏡
The best day u own a boat is the day you buy it exciting and the day you sell it Good God. Boats are an impulse buy unless your the Navy. Why catch a garbage fish for $500 a fish when you can buy the best fish for $100 a pound and own your money not the headache of a boat. Theyre like bad wives. Nice to look at but the maintinance will kill you. Rather not be responsible for only depreciations when I only want to be on the fishing trip not have to pay for the ocean with all the man made problems. Getting that way owning a house at my age. Was important when I was just starting a family years ago just not today ties me down with all the headaches of ownership. When youn live all by yourself at 70 and only talk to the grownup kids whoi love you but cant fit you in their schedule because of obligations them best to sell what you got and go on a road trip. Im to old to br a lawn and pool boy and still pay for what I dont need. Wife has passed no more women but friends and thats ok. Had my kids had a blast just like owning a boat. Seems we depreciate not appreciate when we retire from always working to be responsible. himan again like being a child. Always got excited to go on a field trip in school cuz you knew so3mething was gonma
I think it depends where you are and how much you use the boat. In Florida, if you’re on the water or close, a great investment. When I lived there, I knew many people who wouldn’t be without their boats and used them constantly. Here in Michigan (which has almost as many boats registered as Florida), I don’t get it. We have the water for sure but not the sun. I see boat owners spending huge amounts of time and money for a 4 month boating season. But, to each their own.
This is how boats are they sweep you off your feet, sitting at the helm directing the current, Then once you have enjoyed it a couple of years, you get tired, and reality sets in, so you try and sell it, thats when the problem really starts- enjoy when you buy ecstatic when you sell, they are a like a bucket on water that you keep throwing money ito.
wow ! 8k for a 15ct emerald even of less than perfect color and treatment seems very low :( but I'd have to leave it in the mounting and hold on to it.
That emerald looks treated, I think Ian is right. It also has an awful lot of inclusions....I cannot see how it could be worth anywhere near £30,000. Unusual colour and size, but it's far from perfect.
