for anyone confused: 1) make your first row as normal 2) take six strands from the middle and separate them out 3) on the right side, make three rows of your pattern as usual, not touching the six middle strands 4) repeat the step above but on the left side 5) divide your middle strings in half so you have three on the right and three on the left 6) on the right, take your innermost string and use it to make a backward forward knot onto the string to the right of it 7) take the third string you separated out on the right and make a backward forward knot onto the two strings you were just working with 8) take the string to the right of the three strings you were working with, and make another backward forward knot over that bundle of three strings 9) repeat steps 6-8 on the left, but use forward backward knots instead of backward forward knots. 10) on the left, take the string you just knotted with and place it to the side 11) take one string out of the bundle and make a forward backward knot over the remaining two strands and lay the string you just knitted with to the side 12) take one string out of your bundle of two and make a forward backward knot over that remaining strand and then lay the string you just knotted with to the side 13) repeat steps 10-12 on the right side but with backward forward knots instead of forward backward knots 14) made a forward knot using your two innermost strings 15) finally, finish off your rows on both the left and right side to enclose the loop I hope this helps! :) ❤️
also, this is an amazing video! it is very very helpful! thank you so much for making it. i can now make a bookmark for my friend, and i am super excited about it!!!
Llevaba un tiempo buscando como hacer este tipo de nudo (sí es que se le puede llamar así). Me ha sido de mucha ayuda, aún estando en otro idioma, he podido entenderlo perfectamente. Gracias por el vídeo.
@@HandMadeLenin after you split the 6 strings into 3 on each side the very first knot on the right side you make to start the loop... Is that knot a right left knot or a left right knot (at minute 3:52)?
I wouldn't use glue at all, just include the extra strings with the base strings and do about 3 rows to make sure they are secure before you cut...just make sure if you have 3 extra strings you use the same base strings for each string so it looks seamless.
hi, is it okay with you if I use the loop to hang on a keyring so it's then a keychain? also, could I try to modify your technique where I don't make the loop and I use the string at the start to hang the bracelet or whatever by tying it together kind of like an ornament. just want to know if all that's okay with you since this is your technique.
??? Bud i dont think this is the kind of thing you need to ask permission for, like especially if it's just for private/personal arts and crafts that you won't be selling or publishing a pattern/tutorial on
@Jackelyn Jacintoperez I'm not sure if this is interesting for me. I can split this into separate lessons and show how I do the individual elements. Than to shoot a video how I do each pattern
I'm sorry to say that, but this is one of the badest tutorials I've ever watched. It's speed up for no reason on the wrong parts and the translation sometimes doesn't make sense. Your work looks really good and you have the skills, so I think you should do a new tutorial on this technique I'm sure lots of people want to learn, but turn away from it, because it's a frustrating experience.
About acceleration - I accelerate only the immediate moments of weaving. I can remove it, but then the lesson will last from an hour of time. Who wants to watch it? I don't think I'll ever do this lesson again, because I've grown cold to this kind of creativity and shooting videos in general. But thanks for your comment
@@HandMadeLenin I really appreciate the tutorial! I honestly think it was the easiest to follow. Going to try it now!! Thanks for the captions in the video 💕
@@HandMadeLenin that’s why I said in a previous comment you should let others recreate the video. I know others have asked you and you said no. This is a very hard tutorial to understand. I have been wanting to make bookmarks but I can’t because I can’t find anymore tutorials on this!

4) repeat the step above but on the left side

8) take the string to the right of the three strings you were working with, and make another backward forward knot over that bundle of three strings
9) repeat steps 6-8 on the left, but use forward backward knots instead of backward forward knots.
10) on the left, take the string you just knotted with and place it to the side
11) take one string out of the bundle and make a forward backward knot over the remaining two strands and lay the string you just knitted with to the side

I love you for doing this. Last time I made one of these was before your comment. If only you had pictures to go with each step.
Так долго искала это видео
Such a nice technique! Thank you so much!
Thank you I have been searching for it for a long time
This was so helpful. Thank you!

Спасибо огромное
great tutorial, thank youu!!! 💖
This was a nice tutorial, thank you!
Thank you for this information.. I hope you will repeat the way it works because it is not clear.. I need this method in my work.
I love youuuu you saved mee 💞💞💞😍😍😍😍❤️❤️😭
Keep going 😍🌸
Thank you!!
what if I have an odd number of strings? I have 25 strings... should I still leave 6 strings in the middle?

This is soo clever girllll!!!!!
афигеть, крутой способ🤤
OK so when you start making the loop on the right side is that first knot a right left knot and the second and third knot left right knots?
I didn't quite understand your question
@@HandMadeLenin after you split the 6 strings into 3 on each side the very first knot on the right side you make to start the loop... Is that knot a right left knot or a left right knot (at minute 3:52)?
@@sunneallen3563 left right
@@HandMadeLenin thank you
Sorry what was that gel you used?
I think you can use clear nail polish or glue if you can’t find it but idk 🤨
you can just use clear nail polish. thats what i use & it works perfectly
I would recommend mod podge. It is a sealer similar to glue. Glue can sometimes get flaky and clear nail polish can sometimes get sharp.
I wouldn't use glue at all, just include the extra strings with the base strings and do about 3 rows to make sure they are secure before you cut...just make sure if you have 3 extra strings you use the same base strings for each string so it looks seamless.
Спасибооо)))
как нибудь придумаю интересный рисунок - чтобы получилось как закладка :))))
Спасибо! Could you make a video on how you end your patterns?
in the thumbnail, how did you put that white twisted start in?
at what minute?
@@HandMadeLenin In your picture of the video they are asking how you attached your tassel to the loop at the top like what you said at 10:30
@@naomi7446 I searched the internet for a tutorial. There people explain how to do it.
search up “how to make tassel for bracelet” and/or “how to make twisted ties” and tutorials should come up

this is the author's pattern

I fully agree with you
shut up, thats like saying to an english video 'this is too hard to follow for spanish people'
@@rionada330 well.. if they only spoke spanish then yeah it would be hard to follow, what's your point?
Anyone know if I can make the loop smaller than six strings?
you can make it smaller! just make sure your amount of strings is divisible by two
