When a Child of God goes out and Preaches to The Lost, they are Preaching to The The Dead
Thank you Pastor Brian, I appreciate you. Stephanie
Thank you, Pastor. Excellent explanation as always. God bless. 🙏 And Amen and amen! 🙏🎶🎺🕊
What do I say to my Catholic cousin, who just lost her son, when she asks me to "pray" for him? I am not sure what his beliefs in God were. As far as I know, he didn't know Jesus. She seems so happy thinking she can pray him out of wherever he is. It breaks my heart and for their sake, of course, I hope he made it. I just don't know what to say. I just tell her, "Ok." 😢
That's all you can do for her now is pray. She has lost a son and now only God knows where his heart was. Be a friend and comfort her in her grieving. Tough situation I understand. 🙏
This is a major scripture used by the LDS church to give reason for the baptisms for the dead that they do in their temples. They believe that those after this life can be baptized by interpretation of this reasoning and that way they can either accept the gospel or not. Growing up LDS this passage was used for that but never settled well with me
@@flybry_TN praise the Lord you’re out of the LDS!
@@CalvaryChapelFranklin and on top of that, Pastor Mark (Calvary Knoxville) is my pastor 🙂
@@flybry_TN Score! That's awesome - praise the Lord!
❤
Mabe its alluding to that Gospel that was preached to every creature under Heaven that every creature is groaning for??? The Gospel that God will restore the whole earth back to Himself through Christ???? Those that are dead had that Gospels preached to them also, and they are also groaning for that restoration???
The way i understand it, the demons are the dis in-boded spirits of the giants.
@@jma8352 although the scripture doesn’t specifically say that (it’s from Enoch), I tend to believe so too
The fact that even a portion of the book of Enoch, though supposedly not inspired, finds itself in the ACTUAL inspired word of GOD and the fact that at least two of the original disciples are quoting it, opens the door to some VERY profound questions.
I don't think God wastes words, and every word in the bible is there for a reason. Ergo, quoting Enoch tells us something we need to know.
What that "something" actually is.... I don't know.
Maybe, when we're all there at the Feast, Peter will push his plate of homus and tabouli aside, stand up, ding his glass, clear his throat and announce "... there's something I've been meaning to elaborate on ..."
@@belvederebaileycambodia I’ll certainly look forward to that dinner discussion!
Do you think that Peter, Jude and others believed the Book of Enoch was Divinely inspired?
@@85rockhound Hey there. I think it’s hard to know whether they thought Enoch was inspired. They were certainly well acquainted with it, as they likely were with other 2nd Temple period works. They, like others, may have held that at least some of the account was true. But it doesn’t appear that it was ever held as canonical (other than in the later Ethiopian canon)
